BK, interesting reading about your book collecting.

I'm curious, do you ever read any of the books you buy? Or are they only for collecting?

My library is starting a fast reads section. You get a book for 7 days, no renewals. $2/day fine and no reservations. The odd thing is you can only take out 1 book per card.

Not sure exactly what books they will have. The books have not been put out yet. But I did see Lisa Gardner's new book is slated to be there. And I saw James Patterson's new book is gonna be there. Maybe it will just be the most popular authors.

I watched "The Mysteries of Lisbon" last night and this morning. I plan on catching up with Downton Abbey today. And I saw "Bridesmaids." I laughed twice. One was a Jill Clayburgh scene. I miss her.

Wow. After surgery I only laughed once. It hurt!

A fine of $2 a day??  Last year (or maybe the year before), our library started charging fines for the first time in its 40+ year history and they were concerned that people would be upset at a fine of 15¢ a day!

Well, I just had to pop in and ketchup.  I'm going to see "The Artist" today.  I really am excited to see it. :D

Have a good day, all!

It makes sense they would be the "hot" books.

But this fine is only for the special books.  There should be a higher fine if these are late.  In Michigan we paid 50 cents to check new best sellers which was fine with me.  I don't remember what the late fine was as I never needed to pay it.

What have you cleaned it with so far?  I would begin with vinegar & water.  If that doesn't work add baking soda to the mix.  Be sure to leave the door open for awhile.

Put the microwave out in the alley and send Vixdad to Best Buy to get a new one.
