For fans of THE TURNING POINT......if you have not seen Robert Altman's THE COMPANY from 2003, already on a couple of lists here, you might check it out.  After THE RED SHOES, it is my favorite ballet film.

Tuesday morning greetings!  Right after Richard and I had dinner last night, I headed out to attend an AAUW board meeting.  Got to the end of our block and knew something was not right with my car, so I circled the block, pulled into the garage, and - sure, enough - there's a flat tire.  I took Richard's car to the meeting and today we're dealing with mine and I suspect there are 2 new tires in my immediate future.

TOD - I've seen SWAN LAKE twice and liked it both times.  In 1980, I saw it at Lincoln Center by the American Ballet Theatre and in 2008 at University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music.  Of course, I'm partial to the CCM production because my (now) DD-i-L Mary Linda was in the company.

My favorite ballet movie, and one of my favorite movies in general, is THE TURNING POINT.

That "pi" looks suspiciously like the Hebrew letter "he" or perhaps "cheth", as I'm sure everyone will agree.  :)

Since the posts today have had a glut of polyglottal references, from German to French, the leap to Hebrew was perfectly natural .  ;)
