It's was a disastrous trip to Baltimore: too much money spent on taxis and trains to find that the Historical Society had absolutley nothing on the show. The Ford's Theatre programs between 1880 and 1915 are bound in nice volumes and from then on it's an occasional program, but nothing from the week of Sept 5, 1925. It was a total waste of time.

Nice people working there, and they did all they could to be helpful. I'm bummed. It looks like I may be off to Dublin in April, so that's good news.

I was woken early by the unpleasant sound of Daisy vomitting up another hairball on the bed.

That was my morning on Monday...except that Ebonie wasn't kind enough to vomit on something that could be cleaned in the washing machine.  For her, it's the carpet almost every time. :P

We used to joke that our coliie Ethel was thinking things like, "Oh, look at this lovely white carp--blleachcchch."  ;)

DR derBrucer thank goodness the skin cancer wasn't melanoma spreading like that.  I'm truly surprised you were never referred to a dermatologist.  I don't like having the little ones removed & can't imagine how unpleasant that must have been.

Good luck & vibes with the laser procedure for your eye!!!

Energy level has crashed twice this afternoon. Don't know what it is. But I had an apple and hopefully that will pick me up.

I finished my salad at lunch and just knew I'd need an energy fix a bit later.  And then it happened.  A chocolate-covered buttermilk pastry reached out of a display case and bitch-slapped me.  I bought it and a cup of coffee.  That was dessert and it has kept me going three and a half hours.

Well, our faucets and pipes are making all kinds of sputtering noises, so I think we'll have water soon.  Of course, it will be brown and yucky for a while...

Well for pity's sake, keep on priming that pump and get that fresh water into your house as soon as possible!

Zefran reminds me of a Doberman mix my now brother-in-law had when we were in college named Byron. One of the best dogs I've ever seen.

The next day I went back and produced the proof of Bonnie's un-fecundability ( I wisely failed to note to the clerk that the "Neutered" check on the Vet- signed shot record was because I answered "Yes" to the "Has she been neutered" query.).

;D  I picked up on that when the vet tech mentioned the shot records.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful story & introducing us to Moose & Zef.   I miss your stories of the gang.

Years ago when we found our Belle the vet found her scar & said odds were she was spayed.  Fortunately he was correct.

Question: How would a shot record indicate if the animal had been neutered? Wouldn't they have asked you that question and taken your word for it?

You are, of course, exactly on point!

The shot record has a check mark for "neutered"  (which is checked by a clerk based on my "declaration")
and then the form has a Vet signature stamp applied.

I'm shocked, shocked to find that incompetency runs rife in the bureaucracy!

der Brucer

;D

If it had the official vet stamp it had to be true ;)          I expect most people don't lie on a shot record.

I did 4 loads of laundry and washed all the wet towels from yesterday.

I have a mattress where my waterbed would be (it's a hard wood framed box).  Unfortunately i'm not used to such a hard mattress. And even though i have 4 comforters on it i still do not find it comfortable and it hurts my back.

I'm used to watching tv in bed. But i'm gonna try just sleeping in the bed and not doing anything else. That is also where i like to read (and where my reading lamp is) :(

Two of the internet places i emailed have emailed me back. I was just hoping that the Canadian places would email me back today, so i wouldn't have to ship the waterbed mattress from the US.

Yes, on the ACS website.  I wish I was good at posting links but I always mess them up.  I think I was able to post it on Facebook because I only had to click on the "post on Facebook" button.

DR Jennifer vibes you find a water bed that can be shipped in Canada & not from elsewhere.  Is it a plain mattress you have?  There are many softer styles out there these days.

What i have this week is just an old mattress from a sofabed. TWo places did say they have my size. But it has to be shipped from US. And shipping costs are around $40 (which is a lot). They all have free shipping in the US. I hope that the canadian places email me back and have free shipping in canada. But i won't count on that.
