Yes, where is Elan?

And on a separate note:
Where is style? Where is skill? Where is forethought?

Where is love?
Where is the Warmth?

I like Dean Jones a lot, but boy did he have a vibrato wide enough to drive a truck through.

DR derBRUCER that article you linked yesterday about SMASH was one of the dumbest things I have ever read....how did it ever get published?

The author is a stringer for the very PC Washington Post - these folks think Orwell's Animal Farm is unfair to animals and that Atlas Shruggedd  is the American Mein Kampf

DR ELMORE thank you for all of the ONCE links.  I don't think I watched the movie all the way through - but this really looks like a very entertaining show.  It's nice when something good is embraced by the reviewers!!!

DR JRand61, I posted the party photos especially for you!

if you desire them, just go to the website to order - they'll be "live" at six.

I went to the webssite and was surprised that the new CDs didn't show up on the opening page.

A little clicking found what I wanted, and I ordered it.

I wasn't born yesterday:

Elmore's adventure at the ER yesterday reminded me of a few years ago when I broke my ankle and a neighbor dropped me off at the closest hospital's ER, which turned out to also be a Methadone dispensing clinic.  With the perfect logic of an ER, they were dispensing Methadone first to each and everyone who walked in while letting the rest of us rot in a corner.  I waited for about an hour, called Betsy and told her I couldn't stand it any longer, to bundle the kids up and come get me to take me to a better hospital.  I went and told the ER admitting nurse I was leaving, which made her very upset and she yelled at me, "All right, but I'm marking you down for eloping triage."  I burst out into hysterical laughter.  Eloping triage has become one of our favorite terms  Chez K.

You know, when I listen to his "Being Alive" and then Larry Kert's, I can't help but notice the difference. Jones feels it. He's Bobby singing that song. Kert is any singer, all plummy vocals and next to no emotional depth. It's prettier, but shallower.

The bleeding stopped but it took ninety minutes, which seems long. I had someone else look at it and they did not think it looked deep at all. Although it does look a bit worse than i originally thought. I am just glad it stopped bleeding.

I have an extremely rare 49 star flag which was part of my father's commissioning ceremony when he made the rank of Brigadier General in early 1960.  I've been told it's worth a lot of money.

Finger tips and scalps are famous for lots of bleeding from little wounds.

Who would think that that much blood could come out of such a small finger. And such a small wound. I have never bled like that ever.

Speaking of your website, BK, I personally would love it if you had a page that listed things alphabetically or perhaps you had a search box on each page to aid in finding things.  For instance, after I added Barbarian & Geisha to my cart, going back to Home meant there was no splash page with GOBOD there, and no way to search for it.

Ditto!

Do you take aspirin regularly? That's what the nurse asked me at the hospital when I wouldn't stop bleeding after they removed the IVs.

Sorry to have been E&T again, but my Mim is in the hospital again.  Her atrial fibulation is acting up keeping her heart rate too high.  When they use drugs, her blood pressure drops too low.  Plus she has a touch of pneumonia and she's not eating as she should.  This morning they are going to determine if she can go through a procedure called ablation which would shock her heart back into the proper rhythm.  Please send some vibes her way.

As I continue my "Company" fixation and class this semester, here's an audio clip (no video) of Dean Jones singing "Happily Ever After" before "Being Alive" replaced it. I always liked this song and think even more of it now. It's too much to take in in one or even three hearings, so I can understand why it flopped. But, boy, does Jones knock it out of the park.
