Well, you've read the notes, the notes were stuffed to the gills, and now it is time for you to post until the stuffed cows come home.

Up way too early to help out at a 5K run that the wine and food festival board I serve on is sponsoring. You can get a glass of vino when you finish, which I think is healthy and civilized.

TOD: I love just about every Liz Callaway track, but "Meadowlark" and "Joey, Joey, Joey" are particular favorites.

Getting ready for Saturday at work.  Oh well.

I shall have to hear some other suggestions for the TOD.....although I lean heavily toward "New Words" from Unsung Musicals.

TOD

Joey Joey Joey
Journey To the Past
Knowing When To Leave
Meadowlark
My Heart Is So Full of You
New Words
A Place Call Home
Stop Time
The Story Goes On

From the above tracks my favorites are

The Story Goes On which I think is her signature song.

My Heart is So Full of You has one of the most beautiful arrangements and orchestrations I have ever heard for a song. The instrumental break where Alex Rybeck plays is also exquisite.

Good morning, all! I guess the flowering trees have got to me: I woke up with a head full of gunk, and I hope I have sme allergy meds in the medicine cabinet. I slept well, no memory of any dreams.

I have a few errands to run and then I've got work to finish up DEAREST ENEMY this weekend.  This morning, I've got to give some thought to the last refrain of "The Hermits" and divide the song up between Mrs Murray and General Tryon. Then send the revisions to my copyists to put them into the piano-vocal and the full scores.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Good Health and Good Weekend Vibes to one and all! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Morning all!
Super vibes to Dear TCB and all who need them!
DR Jane,  I wouldn't have minded going to HR--it would have had it's  plus and minus.  It was just the timing was bad.  They needed someone to help with meetings and such which would require that you be there and right now I just don't feel that I could commit to that.
I LOVED the photo with the child and the camel.
Amen!
And I ordered my BFI copy of "The Devils!" It's ridiculus that all of Russell's films, as well as Richard Lester's, aren't released on DVD.
Getting back uptown from Toyland was needlessly difficult and unseemly this morning. I don't understand idiot taxi drivers who, when you say "take 10th Avenue," don't head there immediately but wait until they have driven 10 blocks or so before deciding to turn. We ended up in a traffic jam between 8th and 9th Avenues caused by two fools loading a truck blocking the street halfway down the block. By the time I decided to pay and got out of the taxi, the meter had gone up over $1.50 while sitting absolutley still.
It appears that THE DEVILS is PAL not NTSC.  Hopefully there will be a US release soon.
Today is my Pops concert.  It is a gloriously sunny morning here in Portland, the first in quite a while.
Betsy is in D.C. next week so I will get to torment the boys by myself (with help from Grandpa and Grandma, who are staying through the end of the month).  ;)
Betsy's father Ed told us the most amazing story of Holocaust survival the other night, about one of his cousins.  It is a movie waiting to be made, I tell you.
In talking further to Zach last night, I overestimated his HUNGER GAMES score.  He really did not like it, and evidently none of his classmates did, either.  That said, I think they were all expecting that every little jot and tittle of the book would be in the film, which is never the case.
Saturday morning greetings!  We had a lovelier than lovely dinner last night with my Mom and Rob and Mary Linda.  Got home just in time to see 2 more Ohio teams knocked out of March Madness and I slept in 'til 9:30 this morning.
JMK, if you have a multi-region DVD player they automatically convert the PAL to NTSC.
I'm up and she of the Evil Eye has arrived.  I'm thinking about a jog but it looks kind of nasty out.
As mentioned, books will be here Monday afternoon and probably ship Tuesday morning.  For those who've been waiting for the e book version, the Kindle is available now at amazon (and remember, you can download for free a Kindle app if you don't have Kindle) - it's only 3.99 right now, so check it out.
Bruce will be happy to know that I just purchased the book and I got it for $3.79 at the Sony E- Bookstore. I have a Sony Reader, not a Kindle so I was hoping it would be available there as well.
