Trivia mavens of HHW.  There is a seller on Ebay who insists that this is a photo of Annette Funicello.  I know who is ISN'T (Annette) - but WHO is it?   ;D

Anna Maria Alberghetti?

I don't want to write my paper tonight. So, I'm going to take a break. I don't want to write any of my papers now. Maybe tomorrow.

And what is the subject for tonight's paper?

I just went to Amazon and bought the Kindle version of some record producer's new book.

So that way, I won't have to wrinkle the pages of my autographed hardback copy.

Good evening.   It was a beautiful day here.  I went to an estate sale and bought a radio like this.  I paid a little more than you can get them on ebay, but it's in perfect conditions, no scratches nothing and the sound is great!   It's a reproduction so no tubes etc. Will last longer and goes perfectly with my woodwork.  I love it

And what is the subject for tonight's paper?
Bob Cole, who wrote A Trip to Coontown back in 1898, the first musical written by, starring and staged by blacks in the U.S. He revolutionized the way blacks could be presented on stage and he always appeared in the most elegant of tuxedos, which was most definitely not the style back then and could have gotten him lynched.

It just got a little heavy thinking about that in light of Geraldo Rivera's accusation that Trayvan Martin was killed because he was wearing a hoodie. Even if it's not true, the idea is where the danger is. And it's depressing.

For dinner I played Food TV and created something from what I had. Some noodles, some chicken, some tomatoes some left over spaghetti sauce, some cheese...it was really good

I actually listened to the radio in the livingroom this afternoon.  I usually only listen in the car.  It was kind of fun to just sit and listen

I saw another friend today who was stunned at how much weight I have lost.  I figured it is about 35 pounds, but she thinks it is a lot more than that.

So if my new thinner self was found fast asleep on the front lawn, what movie title would I be?

And just in case anyone was interested in the answer to my riddle, the answer is

SPOILER!

SLENDER IN THE GRASS!

END OF SPOILER!

Last fall my yard guys cut the yard WAY WAY WAY too short when they were supposed to just be sucking up leaves. Now the part of the yard that the idiot who cut it short was working on is all dead.  I watered it this afternoon and bought a bunch of grass seed.  My plan is to wait until the next predicted rainfall and I'll put it down the night before

Mine just died in the drought last year. It's coming back somewhat, but most of the yard is covered in lush weeds. But, hey, they're green.
