Great nephew Cole called me up to invite me to go and see THE THREE STOOGES tonight. He is quite excited, having seen the commercials on TV the last few weeks... he is already a HUGE 3 Stooges fan (thanks for Uncle Mike).

Should be a fun evening, and I have heard from die hard Stooge fans that the film is quite good.

I have also heard from fans the film is good.  I, not being a fan, never want to see it.

Have fun with your, excited, grand nephew Cole.   I think it is sweet he called to invite you to go.  Does this actually mean he was asking you to take him? ;)

COngrats to DR derBRUCER on his high heeled accomplishments.

I also danced in Grade School the previously mentioned Hokey Pokey, Square Dancing, and routine called Jump Jim Crow in which the boys wore bird beaks......made of construction paper.....that obscured our vision.

Damn!  Today you would have a lawsuit.

Finished an absolutely superb Wallander movie - this one guest-starred Michael Nyqvist, the star of the original Swedish The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Jane, yes gum problems - not terrible, just way too long between cleanings.

Starting in first grade, we had dance class about once a week, or maybe once a month.  It was held in the cafeteria / auditorium (which always smelled like warm milk and tuna sandwiches).

I believe scorcery may be at work at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theater.   How else do you explain the fact that Joe Hardy has bigger boobs than Lola?

Wasn't that the family with the high wire act?

Using that gum thing gets them right back into shape.

What do the initials GCB mean?

The original book that the TV show is based on was called "Good Christian Bitches."  That was going to be the name of the TV show, but it was decided to soften it and then it was going to be called "Good Christian Belles."  Then that got shortened down to "GCB," which can pretty much stand for anything you want it to stand for.

It stands for the first three notes of the GET SMART theme to me.  ;)

I have great respect for the police, but any officer who is so frightened of a barking dog that he feels compelled to shoot him is a danger to the public.

These kind of stories really tick me off.  I'm sorry, through the years I've done my job, I don't have great respect for the police.  They do some heroic things, but this sort of thing happens way too often.

A year or two ago the Sioux City police shot an Angus bull 15 times and killed him because he was roaming in the street.  The owner bought him because he was so tame.  He didn't need to be killed

DR TCB - in my new beautifully cleaned out closet, I found my Titanic lobby cards.  Here is Ms Stanwyck wearing your coat.  ;D
