Well, you've read the notes, the notes were quite Hollywood and had their Way, and now it is time for you to post until the Hollywood Cows come home.

God morning, all! I was wide awake at 5:30, so I figured, the hell with it. Lots of piddling dreams, but nothing I can recall now that I'm moving about.

Today is the summit meeting at Toyland, which I do not look forward to. Since it's at 2pm, it screws up my whole day: I've got the entire morning to fret over it and accomplish little and an afternoon with people I've no urge to visit. It's a lose-lose situation as far as I am concerned.

I can certainly commiserate with Pogue, having seen my work destroyed by others.

The ones that really hurt are the stories and scripts that originate with you.  But, once you take the money, you're screwed.  The filmmakers come along and "improve" on your work, and what finally winds up on the screen is a piece of crap.

On the other hand, with straight assignments, I take a very pragmatic attitude.

Somebody comes to me with a story or even an idea.  They pay me the money, and I do my very best to give them a viable screenplay.  After then, they can do with it what they please.  I have no emotional attachment.

I think you have to develop that attitude if you want to survive working in film.

Very interesting reading about DOA in the notes. Obviously they have to credit the writer. But you'd think that if they were going to change it beyond recognition that there should be some mention of that!

Ah yes TARGET EARTH.......since DR CHASSMITH has just been here a few months, perhaps MR BK will relate his TARGET EARTH experience when he arrives.

Thursday morning greetings!  I was exhausted last night after the afternoon with my Mother that I just ate some dinner and vegged in front of the TV.

DR Vixmom, no, yesterday's office visit was quite inconclusive for Mom, but thanks for asking.  There really is NO good solution to her problem.  We went grocery shopping for her afterwards and that always makes her feel better.

Vibes for DR Elmore's meeting today!

DR Elmore, do you have some daytime time to spend with Richard and me next Monday or Tuesday?  Richard, of course, wants to eat at Artie's...
