Speaking of Andrew Lloyd Webber (we were, right?), I'm now watching the DVD of "Love Never Dies," which is the Australian version.  I much prefer Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess, who were in the London production.   I do think that there are several good songs.  The plot is another story.

I wonder if it will ever open on Broadway?

Kevin, I hope you didn't have any of the flooding in the area that you live.

No, no problems where I live, TCB.  Thanks for asking!

That is good news.  Did I ask you if you were going to BK's book signing?

I don't think I'll be able to make it this time.

Doubtful, from what I've read.

Will post more photos later. But the place is wonderful and peaceful, and that's what matters.

Dividing the cost up among six people (the house could actually hold eight) is what makes it affordable for me.

Are you cooking for the group?

Sunday afternoon greetings!  We had a smooth trip to Lima and back and I've had a nap.

We're finishing up the last day of our visit.

This morning and afternoon we had no plans so we saw Dark Shadows for the exorbitant price of $5.00!!!

I know I'm in the Midwest.

It was fun, not great, but fun.

Anthony is napping and then we are going to my sister's (one of 4) for one last meal. When we return to the hotel we may go in the pool one more time but if so I'll have to use the hair dryer on my swim suit and then pack it in a plastic bag tomorrow if it's not completely dry.

We leave for the airport about 6:30am tomorrow and we will be back in New York (Manhattan, the Center of the World) about 3 or 4 pm depending on traffic.

It's been a fun, relaxing and stress-free trip. I have to go back to work on Tuesday but it will be OK now that I've had a few days off.

Later, gaters.

Ginny, since you have river cruised in Europe, and I have thought about it; I thought you might want to read this article about a very poor-person's river cruise.

DR TCB, one of the couples we met on our cruise had been on a barge cruise in France.  I got the impression, though, that theirs was more rustic and they even did some "crew" work.  We'd definitely be poor persons at the end of this one!

The $1,300.00 in gratuities would do me in.

We are going to a carillon concert this evening in Cincinnati.  Our friend Rick is playing a program honoring the Queen's Jubilee.

Here is another kindle freebie (make sure it says $0) that i thought some here might enjoy.

It is called: Who Said That in the Movies? 101 Quotes Quiz of Your Favorite Movies (Who Said That? Quote Quizzes) [Kindle Edition]

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007MRR5RA/ref=as_li_ss_sm_fb_us_asin_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=theche0d-20&linkCode=shr&camp=213733&creative=399837&creativeASIN=B007MRR5RA&SubscriptionId=1GVBN9WWNVXC5DBPE502

Thanks, Jennifer.  Oh my gosh, there is already a sequel to FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, or perhaps I should say, Book Two of the Trilogy.
Not that I have read them but all three books are out.  Btw if you or anyone else with a kindle is interested I receive emails from a few different kindle websites every day and they list all the free ebooks that day. It is quite amazing. If anyone is interested i could list the websites.

Thank you, Jennifer.

So would you like me to list the websites? If you sign up they send you one email per day of all the new ebooks that are free that day. The lists are incredible.

I woke up feeling pretty lousy today. I got ready and was in the car getting ready to drive the 2 1/2 hours to go to my niece's baby shower.  I decided that it was pretty stupid to do 240 miles round trip when I feel so lousy, so I called Sam and she didn't care at all if I wasn't there.  My mom told me she thought I was crazy for driving that far for a baby shower in the first place, so I stayed home.  I am VERY glad I decided to stay home.   I feel much better now and can have another day to rest my ankle rather than driving 5 hours

Feel better  vibes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Did we know that Sam was having a baby shower/baby?

Yesterday I was watching the Seattle Mariners' game on TV (what else is new?).  There was a little girl who was probably seven or eight years old in the stands.  She was obviously a birthday girl.  She was wearing a crown that was made of the same material as her outfit.  Also, she seemed to have the same snotty attitude as so many entitled children seem to possess.  This was obviously her birthday party.  I saw, at least, four or five children of the same age sitting next to her.  Now, the only reason I noticed her was that she and her group were looking terribly bored during the whole game, and that hey were sitting in the front row of of the stands at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago very close to home plate; so everytime they would show the batter up close, I got to see the birthday party.

Now, I have no idea how much those seats cost in Chicago, but in Seattle those seats would go for, at least, $400.00 a ticket.  That makes a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese sound pretty reasonable.

It is a shame to waste those tix on kids who don't appreciate it.

They were probably some company's seats. Or maybe some rich person's season tickets.

When we had baseball here i loved it so much. And when my grandfather was alive he had a bunch of very rich friends. And he would ask them to give me their tickets to a few games each year. Plus often there are companies who have the seats and have to give them out to their customers. I miss those times.

Sam is former DR Samantha not DR Sam.  DR Samantha is my niece. That can be a bit confusing.  Don't know if you were here when she went to NYC with me and met a bunch of the HHW group and saw The Brain from Planet X and The Last Starfighter and of course Legally Blonde.

Don't know how much I've talked about it.  She's due the end of this month.  She's very uncomfortable but very excited.

Back from an all-day major family get-together, hosted by distant relatives who we had located through the internet. The idea being to exchange family history and to try and come up with a definitive family tree. In particular we learnt much additional information about my great grandfather's brother and his wife who moved from England to purchase an estancia in Buenos Aires in the late 19th century.

Glad you are feeling better DR CILLA LIZ.

Thanks to DR JEANNE and DR GINNY....I hope it will be fun.  Susan, who will be directing the show, told me today that David Cryer was let go from PHANTOM after 19 years because the producers wanted to "freshen up" the show.

As I told Willie in the Sunshine Boys...."You want to freshen up something - put some flowers IN HERE!"
