Yesterday I was watching the Seattle Mariners' game on TV (what else is new?). There was a little girl who was probably seven or eight years old in the stands. She was obviously a birthday girl. She was wearing a crown that was made of the same material as her outfit. Also, she seemed to have the same snotty attitude as so many entitled children seem to possess. This was obviously her birthday party. I saw, at least, four or five children of the same age sitting next to her. Now, the only reason I noticed her was that she and her group were looking terribly bored during the whole game, and that hey were sitting in the front row of of the stands at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago very close to home plate; so everytime they would show the batter up close, I got to see the birthday party.
Now, I have no idea how much those seats cost in Chicago, but in Seattle those seats would go for, at least, $400.00 a ticket. That makes a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese sound pretty reasonable.
