I am munching on a Hot and Spicy Claussen's pickle spear.  They are so good, but the salt level is unreal.

Hearty Garlic Sandwich Slices for me.

I will have to try those.

After reading Ben Brantley's review of Long Day's Journey Into Night in London, I must call my parents this Father's day and thank them for being rather pleasant as parents during my and my brother's formative years

 ;D

I'm sure they will appreciate you had a happy childhood.

Now that I have a new fridge/freezer, I realise that I need to replace my shabby old electric cooker, so I've ordered a new one for delivery tomorrow. And...yes...it's another HOTPOINT.

May you be very happy with it.

Back from rehearsal, which went pretty well - there's just no time to work on details and hopefully when she's in LA that's what we'll spend our time dealing with.  But it's running smoothly and the performance details will come in time.  Bass player was an hour late and had no bass.  He came in from Washington on the train and they wouldn't let him bring the bass on.  But he sat and made notes and has done the show, so we'll run what we need to at the sound check.

Is an electric cooker anything like a stove?

Probably. Or oven?

Does it look anything like this?

Yes - very similar.

Perhaps a little less shiny.

;D

I still use the tinted moisturizer and it is shiny for a little while.  I think more was used here than what I put on.

DR Cilla I like the color of your hair.

Then we had a nice lunch at the Red something Grill - Red Eye?  It's a fish place, so I had them make me a platter of lobster, crab, and shrimp and cocktail sauce.  It was very fresh and good.  But there was this mini-creature on the plate for decoration and the waitress, who was funny, asked if I'd like it removed.  I picked it up, remarked that it looked like some Bert I. Gordon creature and handed it to her.  As she moved it it made a little green poop on a plate.  It was howlingly amusing.  For dessert, it was a bucket of mousse and a bucket of whipped cream.  This they ladle onto a plate until you say stop.  I only allowed a medium portion of both, and ate about half of it, but boy was it good.  Here's the proof:

What the heck was the mini-creature with the green poop?

After reading Ben Brantley's review of Long Day's Journey Into Night in London, I must call my parents this Father's day and thank them for being rather pleasant as parents during my and my brother's formative years, almost (at least as far as I recall) Father and Mother Know Best and Leave It to Beaver-ish.  Maybe it meant - assuming there were even any dramatic talent to do it :) - I didn't have subject matter to create the great angst-ridden American play, but so be it.  :)

Fred!  That's it!

Very. But it made me too tired to exercise.

I dozed off for about forty minutes.  I've been watching a lot of Food Network shows - I must say, having been involved with several reality shows, I know the mechanics all too well, and I can see the manipulation of each and every situation at every step - the forced dramatic confrontations, all of it.

Not 100% that, but my parents were always part of the solution to any tsouris rather than part of any tsouris.  :)

Went to the pool today with my niece. It's the first time we've gone this summer (first weekend it's open).
