I got through almost all of mine.  The taste wasn't so bad (I'd refrigerated it) but the sheer quantity of it, once down to the last two servings, was the challenge.  Enough was enough, already.  I think I stopped short of completing it, but I had the feeling they allow for that by making sure you have a little more than enough.  At any rate, that worked for me.

The time I upchucked some of it didn't make a difference.  I now get anti-nausea med to take.  They changed the drink & I hear it is worse now :(   Oh, and I can't drink it in the morning.

Having observed the behavior of my young, entitled neighbors I can pretty much guarantee you that they had no friends watching their dog for four weeks.

Friends!  One hires professional sitters.  It is a big business these days.

I have begun drinking the potion, and I hate this whole routine. I will sign off now and check in before I leave early tomorrow for the clinic.

Vibes for DR Elmore!

Oh, and I happened to see a certain DR, named Jose.  We had a quick cold drink before the show.  It was nice to see him and to meet his brother, nieces and nephew, who all happend to be at the same performance.

:)

I wish I could meet his cute nieces & nephew.

From DR Jennifer:
Quote
I think some of my hobbies are rubbing off on her. She loves scrapbooking. She loves biking. She loves reading. And she loves swimming.

 :)

The first time I saw noodles was in Maui.  I was surprised how many people went into the ocean using them.

At swimming pools in the summer there are usually lots of swimming noodles. The kids love them.

Funny, it was adults using them, not the children.

Doc Martin

Thank you, Ben.  I thought nobody was reading my posts.

If you can get the DVD's I suggest watching the show from the beginning.  I think you will find it very entertaining.

Waiting for Rob and Mary Linda to arrive from their weekend in Michigan.  I've made tuna salad to share with them.

I am going to have dinner tomorrow night with a very dear friend I haven't seen in several months.

That is nice.  Does she live locally?

It's a he, and he lives across town.

Vibes you won't have any haboobs  tomorrow.

So, George, I think that BBC download that I had problems with really affected my computer. I now have some irritating side programs, such as enhanced text that I'll need to get rid of. Weird that only I seem to have had the problem.

By George, I did it!!!!

Thanks to our own DR George.

DR George had sent me someone's instructions and links for downloading the MY FAIR LADY concert MP3s which could be converted to CD audio and burned to three separate CDs.  Getting the files was the easy part.  The challenge for me was figuring out how to get it into three "playlists" in Windows Media Player.  This, I finally figured out with the help of a FRIEND.  (As experienced as I am on PCs, my brain turns to stone when faced with apps like WMP which, except for just "playing things", I haven't found intuitive at all.)

So, I now have three CDs that my Oppo Blu-ray player plays on the good system, and it sure sounds good.  Tomorrow or the next day I'll crank it up and hear what it really sounds like, and enjoy the whole concert straight through.

THANK YOU, DR GEORGE!!

I got the first act, no problem, DR ChasSmith. But I seem  to have gotten overrun by Ask software that my system didn't care for when I tried for the second act.

Is this the one I got -- the first act that's split into two downloads of some 10 MP3s each, with the second act all in one?

I'm sorry, Jane.

Thanks.  There are a couple of options if he has to take them.  Today he drove over to the place he used to live in & is considering it since they have 6 month leashes, for a hefty fee of course.  That would give him extra time to continue looking.  The hardest part is not knowing where he will be working.  I was concerned about him returning to the building he lived in with memories of his marriage.  After going there, and finding out the same apartment is available, he felt fine with it.  He said the very nice elderly neighbor that liked Yogi is still living there.  His complaint with the location is that it is near the freeway he doesn't want to drive.

He has a couple other building that might work.  His problem with these apartments is that they are in large complexes with amenities he won't use but would be paying for.  He did like the one apartment with a washer & dryer.  What he really wants is a trailer in the middle of a park.  I said he has been spoiled living here.

Oh, I see.  Kind of like these entitled parents who try and try for years to have a child, finally do, and then leave it with the in-laws so they can go have a vacation?  I know of two recent such occasions, BTW, lest you think I'm making it up.

I looked it up and it says "Keep Prep Sheet In Bathroom For Your Reading Pleasure,"  ;D

I'll save the name & discuss this as an option with my doctor.

This won't help DR John G with his computer problem, but I'll be happy to share the load with DR George by making copies for whoever still wants this.

Take yer cherce:

1 CD with the complete concert on MP3s   -and/or-
3 CDs of CD audio, the first act split across two discs and the second act on one.

John G., try downloading this program and you can easily uninstall all of the hateful Ask Toolbar. The program is pretty easy to use. Scroll down to the bottom of the page below and choose Free Full Downloads of Revo Uninstaller. I know it means downloading another program but I use Revo all the time and it makes uninstalling programs much easier

Once you've got the program up and running look for the Ask toolbar in the list of applications. Click on Uninstall at the top and choose the last option, which is full uninstall. Just follow the prompts, including deleting added Registry entries. It should get rid of everything.

I hate the fact that many times now, especially when you're downloading an update for Flash or Java or Shockwave, the default is for you to download a stupid, useless piece of crap software that makes changes to your operating system. You have to opt out of downloading the crap by unticking the box as part of the download. I never, ever do a "standard" install or download because it usually includes this kind of crappy add on that I don't want. I do a custom download/install so I can choose what I want to put on my computer.

By the way, I don't know if I'm right in saying "CD Audio".  These are audio files playable on regular players, but the term might be implying a higher fidelity that isn't necessarily on the download.  This is an area in which my ignorance reigns supreme.
