I'vew just been informed that the movers will not be here beofre 7 or 7:30! Holy crap. I don't know if it's such an enormous move or if the building wouldn't let them begin moving until 6pm.

well, I can listen to Act Two of MY FAIR LADY. I have to say, though, that much as I love the broadcast, the film orchestrations to me are not nearly so wonderful as the original Broadway ones

I have a friend who has had too much heartache recently, except for the birth of her grand child.  Will you please help her by voting for her granddaughter's bedroom.  You don't have to sign up for anything, just vote for Ashlynn's Nursery

http://projectnursery.com/2012/07/vote-july-room-finalists-2/

Thanks.

Someone needs to persuade Baby K to drop out of the race!

That would help ;)   Initially they were tied.

ASHLYNN is in second place.

Voting is once a day so you might get a reminder tomorrow.

Thanks to all those that are voting for her.  Except for the baby my friend has had too much grief lately.

Well...

Since I have yet to pack my luggage for my trip back to NYC - which will also be the same luggage I will tote to Palo Alto - I guess I should finish that task. -I'm going to try to see if I can indeed live out of one suitcase-full of clothes over the next couple of weeks. Thankfully, it will be Summer everywhere I will be going.

Laters...

I am thinking I may be pregnant.  My mid-morning snack was a dill pickle.

Before I was pregnant with Bryan no one ever question my ordering kosher pickles at the deli.  After I began to show I had to have Keith buy them for me because of all the laughs & jokes when I would order one.

Mom left me a voicemail while I was in the pool.  Her X-ray was negative for pneumonia - thanks for the vibes!

Great!  What about the medications she began for it?  Does she stop taking it now?

I think even her doctor would have trouble convincing her that she does not need that antibiotic.  She has bonded quite nicely with her new nebulizer.

I'm glad the nebulizer is helping.

I had a teeny-tiny pulled pork sandwich (there couldn't have been more than two ounces of pulled anything in there) and a teeny-tiny side Caesar salad.

Sherman Hemsley has died.

Farewell, George Jefferson!

Sad.  It appears he had been sick for awhile if he had a nurse.

Was lurking around and thought that I saw DR Jose for a minute....

It is nice DR Jose prompted you to stop in instead of simply lurking. :)

however, it was good to get the casting session done, and to have the rest of our day freed up. -And it was a good casting session.

:)

Gosh it is nice to have you back.

Sherman Hemsley has died.

Farewell, George Jefferson!

And Berlinda Tolbert (Jenny) is now the only original cast member left.

Are you telling me that Lionel has died, too?

I could wolf down several of each of those right about now.

Funnily enough, I have a memory about the film's scoring that indicated Previn was required to follow the Broadway orchestrations fairly closely.  Jack Warner wanted NO deviation from total reverence to the original source material, including the music.  Of course, the Warner orchestra was far larger than the Broadway pit...and Previn, being Previn, conducted brilliantly.  I'm sure there were some embellishments, orchestrationally, but I've always found they lacked what I thought was excitement...just as the movie, itself, did.

good morn to all.

How are you feeling, Mike?

Thank you for asking,

I have good days and bad days. Recently they have been bad. I wish it was 2 years ago when I didn't have any of this.

I'm sorry.  I hope things improve soon.

DR Ron, I think he did follow them fairly closely.  But in addition to the size of the orchestra, there was something too large, in the sense of ultra-romantic, about it.
