So they are showing it on tape delay.  I hate watching live sporting events on tape delay. i wonder if NBC will do this for much of the Olympics.

I got a link from Cableone today adn I signed in on NBC olympics.com or something like that, and can watch live streaming for free in the internet

Today Susan Gordon would have been 63.... Big Sigh!
I hope she is in a happy & peaceful place.

I wish I could have known her better.

I miss Susan.

BK, I still think that Susan and I had a great idea.  Unfortunately, the stalker put an end to our plans.

The Canadian station here that shows the Olympics has halted all of their regular programming. They have pretty much 24 hour a day live coverage, minus 6pm-7pm for the news. And I guess the evening when it is overnight in the UK they will be repeating stuff.

Have you read all three of the Kritzer tomes?

Not yet -- I'm finishing up a concentrated read of "Album...", making up for having skimmed through it quickly the first time.  Kritzers 2 and 3 to follow, starting next week.  It's all very rewarding.

There should be a rule against political commercials during the Olympics.  I hit mute on all of them.

I hit mute on most commercials, period.  Makes for much saner TV watching.

Good morning, all! I slept poorly and I know that at some point this afternoon I will fall over in a daze. Even with two fans blowing on me, the apartment is too damned hot. If I don't go shopping for a portable AC this afternoon, it will happen tomorrow morning.

Last night during our final "Titus" rehearsal, the projector kept turning itself off!  At first, we didn't know what was happening, but we figured that it was just too hot in the little theater.  After the show, one of the actors noticed that the thermostat was turned UP! :o That got changed very quickly!  I said that I had a little clip-on fan and that I would bring it to help keep the projector cool, but I couldn't find it.  I'll go to the store and buy a new one.  I know I'll want another one if I've lost the first one.
Vibes for opening night, George.

Ditto, George!

Thanks, TCB!

So is Danny Boyle using "Danny Boy" in the opening ceremonies an ego thing or something?

Overheard in the Olympics effects room:

Oh, he wants it to be "Loud and thumpy" - I thought he'd said "loud and humpy"

I guess you had to hear the narration for that one - the narration is really silly

Are these people actually getting paid for this commentary?

I really hope it's not scripted.

Indeed.  I was so excited a few months ago to discover those Gordons.

It was fun reading your posts.

It is indeed her birthday.  My personal calendar tells me so.
I really will have to watch "Puppet People" this weekend.
