I did not order a Follies CD, but I would like to know why it hasn't arrived yet.

Apparently a lot of folks got their Follies CDs today - what always amuses me is when they get them after wanting them so badly, they let it sit, much like our own elmore.  I could never do that if I was salivating for something.  The biggest complainer on the Cast Recordings Facebook page got his today and hasn't listened yet.

Why are you dragging me into this? You know I love you, and you're getting more than enough love from perfect strangers this week.

I listened to it yesterday and it sounds great. You deserve the praise you're getting and I think Capitol should pay you big bucks to remix all their cast recordings, expecially the two Bock and Harnicks.

You listened to it yesterday and said NOTHING?  We NEED your love, baby, not silence.  What care I for perfect strangers, which is also a song title by Rupert Holmes.

My copies of FOLLIES arrived this PM.

I thought they were supposed to be autographed by the main cast! :-)

I was hoping for at least Sondheim's autograph. ;D

My copies (I bought two) just arrived about an hour ago!!  I love the booklet and the photographs!  It's all so wonderful!

DR George - Shall I head on down to East 46th Street for you? ;)

COULD YOU??  WOULD YOU?? ;D

Yes, it is, DR JANE.  We have a cash report everyday that we use to keep our books with - so we have a sales total, divided into cash sales & credit sales.

The majority of our sales are by credit card, but we do have a big cash business as well.

Very distressing.
So sorry to hear this. But at least if they are covered by insurance that is better.

You know, I don't think I have ever noticed the scoring on men's diving.

What's the purpose of scoring?  That's what I say. ;)

One of my favorite vocalists, Tony Martin has passed away at age 98.

Well somebody broke into my sister's store this morning, stole the weekend receipts (3 days worth) and all of the jewelry.

I hope the mall's parking lot security cameras were working.
I'm so sorry to read this.  Vibes that the thief is caught and justice is swift!

From DR elmore:
Quote
My warmest memories, sadly, are of my Aunt Jenny coming over to wash all my accumulated laundry and to iron my shirts and trousers so I could go back to school.

Her death tears my heart out that I now can never tell her how much I appreciated and loved her for doing that.

This is so very sweet, touching & sad.  I'm sure your aunt knew how much you appreciated her.  She obviously loved you very much.
I somehow missed this.  I'm so very sorry for your loss DR Elmore.  Vibes of comfort your way.

Eye vibes for DR Jane's hubby Keith. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thank you.  He didn't enjoy the surgery finding it rather uncomfortable.  Un the upside it didn't take long & wasn't painful. His eye itched a lot.

For the next several hours he complained he couldn't see along with it being very uncomfortable.  He vision is now returning :).  I think it might be uncomfortable & itchy for awhile longer but the relief of having vision again is great.
So glad the hear that everything turned out alright.

Called the AC company and they couldn't have been more nice about it.  They wanted to come out today but I rode the bus to work.  They will be here tomorrow afternoon which works for me.  I would much rather leave work and not have to come back as opposed to having to into work after they leave.

Thank you.  Had the doctor mentioned a time period before his eye would see again Keith wouldn't have been stressed about the wait.  Mentioning the discomfort would have also been nice.  Most important though is the skill of the doctor, not his bedside manner. :)

Mom and I went shopping in downtown Lebanon, OH, and we had lunch at the Village Ice Cream Parlor & Cafe, which was used as a location in the movie Harper Valley PTA.  Mom bought 3 new jackets/sweaters, which I hope will cheer her up a bit.  We then went to Kroger for a huge grocery shopping.  It took 2 trips to transport all of her purchases from my car to her apartment.  I am exhausted.

I am so bummed that THE CLOSER is ending. Tonight's episode is quite interesting, with a really creepy opening.

I haven't watched, I recorded it.  It's been kind of sad watching Brenda sort of self destruct/get pushed out. It's been uncomfortable for me to watch it.   If you post about tonight, please put spoilers up...at least for tonight...thanks
