Good morning, all.

I believe a train ran over me, but I'm up, and soaking my head in the coffee.

In a few hours, I will be flying off to SFO, and then carpooling it down to San Jose with some of my "team mates", and then we have a Company BBQ in Palo Alto tonight to kick-off this year's TheatreWorks Festival of New Works.

And now that I have access to functioning wifi, as well as not having to run around getting pre-trip stuff done, attending a concert and running through the score with the composer, etc., etc... I shall catch up until my boarding time. -Which is apparently delayed for about 20 minutes.

Laters...

What a wonderful report about last night's Kritzerland.  And even more wonderful news about the email from BK's close personal friend.  How can you do better than that on a Sunday?

Killing me that we can't see/hear the shows from all the way over here.

DR vixmom - You and your vixfamily will be fine when you travel next week. The big thing to check is which Terminal at LGA you will be flying out of. With the various takeovers and consolidations of airlines over the past few years, some of the airlines now depart from two terminals at LGA.

Otherwise, just get there early enough to leave yourself enough time to breathe after you get through the TSA screening. And LGA has recently upgraded their food and dining options and some of them are pretty good.

Monday morning greetings!  Haven't been outside yet, but it looks like it might be less humid.  Will we really be able to open the windows?

Oh...

I thoroughly enjoyed the "repeat" of the Mostly Mozart concert the other night. Alas, it also turned out to be "Weird, Cranky Audience Member Night" at Avery Fisher Hall too. But at least they were sort of entertaining to observe.

TOD: I agree with Kerry about any fried food, from fried artichokes to fried butter. But over the weekend, I fried up crab and avocado cakes, which are at the top of my list today. I had never made crab cakes before and these were great

And yesterday afternoon, I attended another Mostly Mozart concert featuring the International Contemporary Ensemble - or ICE for short.

One of the themes for this year's MM is "bird song", and ICE's program featured various compositions that featured birdsong in them - both literal and figurative. It was a great concert, and one of the compositions utilized the hall's excellent sound system for some very effective aural and digitally-processed effects.

As for yesterday's rain in NYC...

Well... Since I had left my umbrella at home, I, of course, ended up getting caught in both of the downpours. Thankfully, I was not too far from my destinations when the big ole rain drops started falling.

Perhaps if Steve would post his comments about FOLLIES to one of his worship sites, you could easily sell out a second pressing of the CD.

Umm.... I love me some deep-friend candy bars and Twinkies! -However, I'm not a big fan of the deep-fried Oreos. Top Chef: Desserts alumnus, makes a deep-fried Whoopie Pie... Sooooo good!
