Today I am working 1/2 day, then attending the technical rehearsal for the Airport Appreciation Days Radio Show - which happens tomorrow night....then a full dress rehearsal of SEE HOW THEY RUN.

All in one day.

Last night we did Act Three in about 35 minutes - it is the longest act of the play.  We then did it again - and one actor decided to skip three pages.

I was waiting by the door to make my LAST entrance in my underpants when I heard it happen.....

I thought SOMEBODY would get us back on track....but after a couple of beats everyone just kept on.  The director had said that there would be NO prompting....to get ourselves out of trouble if we had to.....and I had to get "upstairs" to get back into my clothes.....so at a random moment,  I just opened the door and ran through the scene.  Everyone stopped for a moment....made no comment....and just went on.

Hopefully that will NEVER happen during performance!

But we are finally in sight of funny!

The second run thru even with three pages gone ran 39 minutes.....which is a mystery.

DR JRand - Maybe those couple of beats that "felt" like an eternity really were an eternity?

So ... somehow I have gotten myself into a pickle. I have to give a talk to a bunch of people (mostly kids) this morning. How did I get myself into this?

Friday morning greetings!  This is a quick HI and BYE, because I overslept (very uncharacteristic) and have to be in Hamilton for a midday meeting.

Thanks, folks, for mentioning Bob Evans. Now I want steak and eggs.

And thanks, Jose, for eating my share of bone marrow this week. I'm truly grateful.

Listening to Simon Mayo Drivetime on the BBC and, as Doug mentioned, they are making noise about how the U.S. has basically ignored the Paralympics.

We had  an office potluck today. I'm quite sated. The rice krispie treats were killer, and I'm usually not a big fan, but I think the woman who made them snuck in an extra stick of butter.
