There is also a recording of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC with SIAN PHILLIPS as Desiree

This one is a "chamber orchestra" arrangement that, as well as I can recall now, I found imaginative and tasteful, better than many reduced orchestrations.  A couple of things irritated, but I'd have to go through it to find them.

And then there's the one with Frederica Von Stade. Or is that the one?

There's a recording with Frederica Von Stade??

For Cheyenne Jackson fans.

http://thecraptacular.com/2012/09/22-pictures-of-cheyenne-jackson-that-are-hotter-than-his-performers-promo-pic/

Funny, but there wasn't a picture of him in "United 93." Oh, wrong mindset. Sorry.

From DR Vixmom:

ATTENTION DRESS MAKERS

Women who wear anything larger than a size 8 do  not need sleeveless dresses - have you seen the upper arms of women of certain weight?''

Give us sleeves!!!!!

;D  I feel the same way.  I need something to wear for my nieces wedding in Cozumel and everything I see that is suitable for the event is sleeveless.

I hope you can find some time to walk around the city a bit.  The buildings are beautiful.

Oh, and did I mention the DP and I are doing a "Land and sea" Disney trip next June?  4 days on land, 3 on the sea!!!

Exciting!  What is the sea part of this trip?

Basically the Caribbean.  Stops at Nassau and Disney's island, Castaway Cay (pronounced "key")

I caught the second half of TCM's airing of "Travels With My Aunt" the other day.   It's an amazing film inasmuch as I'm always surprised at the things I forget from one viewing to another.

BK's close and personal friend Cindy Williams has a wonderful featured role as "Tooley", a young and rich American girl traveling on the Orient Express (and nursing a broken heart) who befriends Aunt Augusta and her nephew...and rather cozies up to the latter.

The film has an interesting theme written by Tony Hatch...and the scoring is often more reminiscent of lush LP recordings (with high, almost hot strings) of movie themes than it is a score proper.  Yet, I dearly wish it were available on CD (hint! hint!)

I've always wanted to see that. The library just got in "Our Man in Havana." Maybe they'll get some more Greene adaptations.

Funny enough, it seems the whole movie is available in 8 sections on youtube.

Here's the Cindy Williams section.

I'm up, I'm up.  I was up at 8:45, then back asleep thirty minutes later and I got up around ten minutes ago.  I was asleep by one so I think that's ten hours.

Matthew, a lot of ballads, hence the desperate need for two ups.

Once at SEA-TAC, I just kept hoping that my bags would make it off the conveyor belt in time so that I could catch the last Light LINK train into downtown Seattle... And they did, and I did!

I stared giggling as soon as I got out of the Westlake Station. All the storefronts were closed, but I could already tell that this was no longer the Seattle that I viewed through my nine-year old eyes. I can't wait to see it in the daylight.

Alas, I just unpacked my bike, and it looks like it banged around a bit, and I'll need to get the back tire adjusted. Thankfully, there are two Brompton dealerships in the area, and I'll take it after I grab breakfast. Hopefully, they can take care of it on the spot.

Welcome (back) to Washington, Jose!! ;D

I recall that I danced for joy when I snagged a copy of the Judi Densch ALNM cd on eBay for a resonable price.  It is a wonderful recording of the show with terrific performances.  My only dislike is Joanna Riding's Anne who she portrays as snotty, petualnt and spoiled, making the character totally unlikeable.  And unfortuately, it seems that every actress who has played the part since has taken the same path.  Flehh!

I remember buying this from Amazon.co.uk (I'm pretty sure) back in the 1990s, shortly after it came out.  I think I paid $35 for it...and it was worth it. :D

I'm not sure what they are using on the steps outside the room I'm in.  All I know is it is making me sick.  First I had a mild headache and now I can feel it when I breathe.  I think it is time to get off the computer and go clean.
