Gingerbread dough is wrapped and chilling until tomorrow evening.  This weather forecast sounds like then will be a good time for more cocooning, unless the power goes out:

From Channel 7 in Dayton:  Rain arrives in the morning, and some thunder and heavier rain is possible through midday, then steady rain tapers down to showers for the evening commute. That is when winds increase, and gusts in the evening may reach 50 mph. I expect we'll have some power outages. Snow should hold off until later in the evening, but light accumulations are expected overnight as well as more wind. Roads will get slick by morning. More snow showers will continue Friday, then end Friday evening. It will still be windy Friday with wind chills in the morning in the single digits and in the teens in the afternoon.

Poor baby.

He had that "I can't believe you did that to me" look on his face

We don't have much here, just a fine snow falling. South of here it's supposed to get really bad and windy.

I have gotten in the habit of not getting on the computer much on the weekends and I must stop that 'cause I see I missed DR ChasSmith's birthday on Saturday, here at HHW.

My belated birthday greetings to you, DR ChasSmith!!

And now, I'm leaving for home.  The monthly library board meeting is happening right now in our meeting room (I'm not going to the meeting, though) and I'm sure that they'll officially announce that the director has been hired. :D

Until later!

I enjoy a few of the numbers that Weiss also wrote for "First Impressions," a not-quite-fully-realized musical of "Pride & Prejudice."

I recently picked up a  CD ofFirst Impressions at the Good Will for $1 -- Hermione Gingold is Mama

Hi, DR Vixmom!  I was in the other end of the house watching CSI with Richard.  Sorry to wimp out, but this elf is tired.

'night!

I am surprised they didn't mention it as I came home in a foul mood  - gave the Vixter an earful and stormed out to buy a present I didn't want to buy for a person I didn't want to give it to - and I was just in the perfect mood to do that chore

I got an oversized beer koozie at the recent office gift exchange. Seems rather obscene to me.

OK

Were they supposed to be gag gifts?

Nobody at the party considered that a gag gift. I had actually drawn three other gifts -- a battery-operated cocktail shaker, a battery-operated corkscrew and a cube speaker for your iPhone -- and all were stolen from me. So, I was the last person to get a gift, and about five or six people were really wanting the beer koozie. Go know.

Your party works like my book group book/gift exchange.  Did you offer it in trade?  You can always recycle it at the exchange next year.
It will be recycled.  ;)
