My PBS station is showing a movie called SOLDIER IN THE RAIN with Jackie Gleason and Steve McQueen. I don't think I have ever heard of it before.
I wonder if it s been made into a musical?
they are playing Bridge Over Troublesd Water and the accompanying video is clips of JFK, RFK , MLK
I expect that being a child of the 60's molded my political outlook
I clearly remember JFK's death when I was in 1st grade, and RFK, MLK I guess I was in 5th or 6th - Watergate was my junior year of high school - and NIxon resigned a couple of weeks before I started my senior year of high school -

It really angers me that the family of one of the children who survived Sandy Hook is suing for 100 million dollars. The child was naturally affected by the shooting, but one hundred million??
The Vixter graduated from the same high school - but now the cases hold pictures from the theatre events and art class projectsmuch to my relief

I loved ARGO, btw. Even knowing how it turned out, I was really caught up in the suspense. Near the end of the film a guy behind me let out a big sigh like he had been holding his breath for at least 5 minutes
