Had to write a long e-mail response to Juliana Hansen about her CD packaging. She had photos taken and when I saw the packaging (the designer had already told me the photos just weren't good), I pulled the plug on the release until new photos can be taken. She doesn't see it - all she sees is she wants it fast. I don't care about fast. That's how she wanted her act and I don't do fast in regards to acts either. I do things right. And right, unfortunately, when Kritzerland is involved, means the photos have to express what the listener can expect. A perfect example of great photos and a great package that perfectly expresses the CD within is the East Coast Singer's Christmas album. My job is to protect her and have this be a professional-looking package that we can all be proud of. Then it actually serves a purpose other than having something for her to sell at the concerts she occasionally does. Hopefully, in the end, she'll thank me for caring and doing what needs to be done.
