I gave some friends a copy of season 1 of DOC MARTIN for Christmas. I knew one of them would like it, but wasn't sure about the other. They both loved it. When I first saw it I enjoyed it, but didn't think it'd have universal appeal. Apparently it does. I've been watching it again. I think it's brilliant.

Last year Vixdad received  Season 1 - 4 of Doc Martin   this year he received Doc martin : The Movies

I think that could be an Outside the Box.

Well, page fifteen is here.  Anyone for twenty?  We haven't done that in a 'coon's age.

I've been in London in January, Ginny, and it's COLD. Of course, I was coming from California, whereas you live in the Midwest. You may find it quite balmy.

One of the people I saw today was agent David Ankrum.  We have two things in common - I played Adam in the Tabitha pilot and he played Adam in the series.  I worked on Totally Hidden Video, and he joined the show in its final year.

Did some house cleaning (not that anyone would notice), laundry and had a negroni while watching the first half of "Under the Roofs of Paris," a wonderful Rene Clair musical.

They're all fun, but I like the series the best. I presume Vixdad is enjoying the Doc and company.

The Weather Channel app shows London 15-20 degrees warmer than it's been here recently.  I have a fabulous new coat with a quilted zip-out lining that can be worn as a coat itself.

Via Facebook, I asked my cousin in Japan about 2013.  He said, "So far, so good!"

Ginny, when are you leaving for London?

Day after tomorrow!

That soon?! I didn't realize.

Now I can say TOMORROW!!

Happy New Year, Everybody!

Have a wonderful time Ginny! Vixdad  was born and raised in Coventry and Vixgrandad  born and raised in Norwich -  his family moved to Coventry during the war  when HIS Dad was given a choice of joining  the army or driving a bus in Coventry -  they were considered equally hazardous occupations

The all-white Porgy and Bess was going to be a first season Outside the Box episode - I wrote it and it was planned and I'd talked to Jason Daniely and Marin Mazzie about doing it.  But I finally had to not do it because using the actual Gershwin music, which would have been a must, would have been problematic.  I had a great version of the show's big duet, Bess You Are My Woman Now.

Vixmom wins the lottery, quits her job, and has some money left after helping all the Hurricane Sandy victims.

OOOH!  I hope Jeanne's resolution comes true!!!

I'm sure you'll be quite comfortable. The dampness does make a difference, though. When I was there one Aoril--in Weybridge, actually--I bought a couple Shetland wool pullovers and didn't need my winter coat. April is still cold to a Californian.
