Well, seeing how I've never heard gunshots in this neighborhood, I am assuming it is fireworks. I hope they quit after our midnight -- and not continue on until California's midnight.

I will someday do my all white production of Porgy and Bess.  And no one will say boo about it because color-blind casting can't only work one way.

I have already suggested that our local theater do an all-white RAISIN IN THE SUN.

My idea was voted down.

The neighbor kids are banging on pots. Just like DR Sandra used to do when she was a little girl. I would send her over to the neighbor we didn't like to make noise.

I have some nice  rib steaks which have been marinating since last night and shrimp for shrimp cocktail  and crab cakes and our traditional sweet & spicy cocktail franks

Vixmom, I made a very large casserole of ham and noodles.  You are welcome to come over for some.  I don't think Vixdad or the Vixter would like it, because I added chopped onion.

chooped onion?  My favorite! Much better than chopped

What are you talking about, Vixmoom.

One of the people I saw today was agent David Ankrum.  We have two things in common - I played Adam in the Tabitha pilot and he played Adam in the series.  I worked on Totally Hidden Video, and he joined the show in its final year.

Grape jelly is beginners jelly!

ah peanut butter MUST have grape jelly
No. Not in the least. Homemade raspberry, maybe apricot.

nope,  you're wrong.  It MUST be grape -  I am pretty sure it is a law or something

:)

That was the 13th Commandment.

My mother's meatloaf was one of the three or four best things she ever made.  I have the recipe somewhere, and made it once.  It's all beef, not a mixture.

Interesting, too, how leftover meatloaf sandwiches call for plain old white bread.

Yes, all beef in our house.  I only remember her mashing up the ground beef with egg - she'd put some onions in, and ketchup, too, I think - certainly on the top.  I should make it one of these days.  I really think that's all she did to it.

No bread peices or oatmeal for filler?
