Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of writing, rehearsing, and watching, oh my, and now it is time for you to post until the writing, watching, and rehearsing cows come home.

Well, I survived the first day back.

How I will survive the next 7 years minus one day is anyone's guess.

Good morning.  It's dark, and it's cold-- two things not very conducive to waking up and actually getting out of bed.

Second day back at work is so far better than the first.  At least, I didn't oversleep an hour this morning...

When I was in ninth grade, I wrote a short story about a man who goes back in time and becomes his own father.  My creative writing teacher praised it and I thought it was going to be my ticket to quick fame.  That is, until the following year, when I showed it to my tenth grade English teacher and she told me that it was threadworn premise in science fiction stories.  Oh, well...

Re BARNUM (note: not the DR)...  I was surprised, too, that a high school would tackle this, but apparently it isn't all that uncommon, including the tightrope.  They're going to build the already large stage out over the orchestra pit area (orchestra's on stage for this) which will give them a great space for the circus venue.

And while I wish it were something other than a high school, nobody's done this in our area that I know of, so I'm rather looking forward to it.
