Well, you've read the notes, the notes were in the home stretch, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're in the home stretch, too.

Topic of the Day (in alphabetical order):

Dick Tracy
Heaven Can Wait
Reds

I haven't actually seen a lot of Warren Beatty movies, but these are my favorites.

TOD:

I recorded LILITH off TCM but haven't watched it.  Nor have I seen all that many Warren Beatty films in general. I know I've missed a few of the biggies.

BONNIE AND CLYDE
SHAMPOO
SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS
THE PARALLAX VIEW
DICK TRACY

I have the feeling LILITH is one of those Sixties films that belongs on my list.

RE: the notes

Interesting BK that you say you don't outline the book. And that at this point you just write a line or two so as to know what is going to happen in the remaining chapters.

Have you ever tried outlining?  Do you at least always know how the story is going to end?

I almost just had a heart attack.

I could not get my kindle to start.

It froze (on something in my email).

I had tried resetting it. But did not do it for the full 20 seconds. So when i saw to do it that long on amazon.com help, I did it. And thankfully it started. But i was freaking out for 15 minutes.

Breakfast:  Two (2) coffees,  banana, and a whole layer of DR John G.'s pastries.  These should be taken away from me, right now.  Confiscate them.  Lock them up.  On a high shelf.

I need another coffee.

Bonnie & Clyde
Shampoo
Heaven Can Wait
Bulworth

I remember seeing Shampoo at the American Film Festival in Dallas.  Beatty spoke after the film and I recall some pretentious film student getting up and asking him about symbolism and themes in the movie and Beatty just looking at her befuddledly and saying: "I don't know what you're talking about.  Bob Towne and I just made a story about various people and a lifestyle we were familiar with in LA."

I bought a DVD of Lillith  for $3 at Big Lots some time ago, but have yet to watch it.

Good morning, all!

It's a morning of tsuris: after spendng the day juggling dates and working my colleagues into a frenzy, the producers of the show Rob is committed to notified him yesterday that they are postponing production for two months. Now he is unavailable in September, and there is no way my teams - copy and Dublin - could be ready to record in May. So, I've spent this morning dealing with all of this megillah.

So, today I am off to the NYPL and the Dorothy Fields Collection. I hope the trip is profitable.

Just bidin' my time.
