As usual, I go to post something witty, and my mind escapes me.  It's REALLY cold today, and colder in my office.  I believe you can hang meat in here.  To bad it's going to become a bedroom soon, not my bedroom though.  Mwhahaha.....

I really liked Phyllis Hogan, the visiting nurse, and she just left. Now I can get myself ready for the trek to Toyland.

Greetings from Toyland! I've rearranged bookshelves and downloaded some Victor Herbert files.

I'm up, I'm up, after five hours of sleep.  Yes, I did not fall asleep until four-thirty.  Too many things in the cranium.

Guess Rob Ashford's talents haven't translated to plays. The reviews of his direction of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" are blistering. (I know, his talents haven't translated to musicals, either.)

This will be my first absolutely nothing has to be done weekend of the year, so I'm going to be a total couch potato and watch TV all day tomorrow.

Sounds like things in England are pretty fierce weather-wise. Lots of snow and stuck people. Hope Ginny and Richard are on a plane!

Phyllis Hogan, Visiting Nurse will be the title of my next radio serial.

Early in December, I ordered Volumes 1 & 2 of the Mary Perkins, On Stage comic strip collection.  I've heard a lot of high praise about this strip (maybe I heard about it right here at this website)  and I've been looking forward to reading it.  Unfortunately, Volume 1 sold out of its print-run and I have to wait until they do another printing.

How in the heck did it get to be Friday, or Fried Egg as we used to call it in school?

Friday morning greetings!  Thank you, all, for the travel vibes, which have worked beautifully so far.  We took the Heathrow Express from Paddington and have checked in, exchanged our currency, and cleared security.  We are waiting at our gate and will board in about half an hour.

Ask me how much I'm looking forward to flying with this head cold...

Okay, if you insist.  Ginny, how much are you looking forward to flying with a head cold?

Speaking of that, I wonder how it is for Cathy Rigby to fly with a head cold?

TOD:

BETA HIFI VCR - Yes, you read that right:  BETA HIFI VCR.  Just acquired a nicely refurbished one to look through the couple of dozen old tapes that I stubbornly held onto for lo these many years, to see if there's anything worth salvaging and, if so, to copy it over to DVD.  Probably won't be, but I just couldn't throw these out without seeing them again.

BLU - JOUR DE FETE, Tati's first feature film.  Got all the main ones now.

Finessed, wrote two new pages, and went and had an omelet and a bagel.  No packages today.

Strange day at work. Don't feel energetic enough to get much done, but surprisingly, I have.

Well, the last couple of days have been quite busy for me.  The fiscal year roll-over and first month of paying invoices are done and have all gone fairly smoothly!  Now, I just need to order things that should've been ordered some time ago. ::) In other words...it's ketchup time!
