DR Jeanne thank you for the sleep remedy suggestions.  I will look into them later today.  I had a decent, for me, sleep last night.

'tried to re-assemble the missing bits' is the title of the second book in my autobiographical trilogy.

DR Jane, you really ought to go and see a sleep specialist, I know I am glad I did. I can't begin to describe how much better I feel now that I have been treating the sleep apnea for just a little over 1 year now.

Along with feeling more awake, energetic, and productive. my blood sugars are now in the normal range, my Cholesterol is improved, and I don't get lost when I drive (as much, anyhow).

I can sleep, but I wake up when the sweats turn cold.   I'm blaming the antibiotics I'm taking twice a day for spurring my body toward a feverish state during the night, but I have to get up, put my pillow into the dryer, change my shirt and generally "wake up" until I can comfortably return to bed.   I did this three times last night.  It's getting old.

Welcome to my world.

I'm laughing but I feel bad for you.  At least DR Ron's night sweats will soon be over.

Keith swears I do not stop breathing at night.  He has watched to see.

My entire family has sleep problems.  My father did a sleep study and was fine.  Maybe my next visit to the doctor I will discuss this.  I'm glad you are doing so well.

Back from Costco -- where I didn't find what I went there for, but couldn't stop myself from getting the STUDIO ONE ANTHOLOGY on DVD for thirty smackers.

Speaking of Sherlock Holmes:

I just received the proof for my Basil Rathbone play.

That only took 3 days.

I am looking for a nice MP3 player with a touchscreen.....not an IPOD.....but nothing gets very good reviews, and I don't want a piece of junk.....so the search continues.
I like my ZenStone. No touchscreen, but it's easily maneuverable.

I have a nice player - it is the touchscreen that I am interested in....   I like my COBY with 8 GB of storage.....but touchscreen seems like it would be easier to use.

Nice. I bought the "Lost Empires" series the last time I was there. But I don't know when I'll have time to watch it.

Back from printing out the manuscript so I can begin my pass through it, finding typos and fixing stuff.  Then had a sandwich and no fries or onion rings.   Juliana Hansen should be here at one for a chat - I haven't heard a peep from her about how the show went last Saturday night.  Then I get an e-mail that she'd like to come by for a chat about it, which sounds vague and weird to me, but we'll see what she has to say.  I will express my feelings about getting vague and weird e-mails.

Sleep studies have likely progressed from when you father had one. You should see a doctor about it, rather than continue to suffer. It might not be Sleep Apnea, but some other sleep problem that can be corrected.

Wow, now I sound just like DR Jane! LOL!

Vague & Weird - I used to hate them when they were on Ed Sullivan....they reminded me of the unfunny Wayne & Schuster.

Richard likes this series.  I usually go to the other room to watch ROCK CENTER...

iPods don't come with apps, you purchase them separately.  However, there are other apps that would be useful to you. I realize they aren't cheap, but they will last forever.

I diligently went to bed relatively early last night, only to be awakened at 5 am by a drip, drip, drip. It was raining and sometimes the eaves drip, but this sounded suspiciously like it was coming from the kitchen, so I got up and checked it out. Yup. A leak in the ceiling. We were lucky the roofer was willing to come out right away and he has now come and gone. No drip, drip, drip. I truly hope it stays that way.

DR MBarnum, do the sleep docs deal with leaky ceilings or noisy neighbors? If so, I'd like to see one myself!
