Last night my office had a "fun night" this took the place of our normal holiday party and it was really nice Uusally we go to a fancyrestaurant sit andhave a meal and you can only really chat with whomever you are sitting near

This time we went to a local bowling alley. this place is huge and they have (at least) two private rooms which have 8 lanes and a buffet table- we had a couple of waiters who brought whatever drinks you wanted (I am a ginger ale drinker at these occassions but the margaritas and martinis were coming and going with great abandon all around me)

Then there were trays of appetizers, "sliders" chicken tenders with assorted sauces, coconut shrimp with assorted sauces, and then dinner came in , ceaser salad, garlic bread, linguini (with a choice of alfredo ro marinara) sausage and peppers, a roasted vegetable dish, chicken piccata, chicken parm.....

and we were divided up into teams of 4 or 5 and played two games at the end there were prizes for all the teams

The team with the worst score got silly hats, bottles of wine and scratch off lottery tickets, my team had the most spares so we got the "spare change" prize which was a bag of dollars and change which came to $30, the team with the most strikes got the gold strike award and they each got a bag with $30 in gold coins, the top scorers got the red hot award gift cards to Chili's

it was a lot of fun

Answering DR TCB's question of last night:

According to IMDb, LILITH was released here in Sept. 1964, so I was close to 15. I was going to a few of the more "arty" films that came around then, but this one passed me by or I passed it by. I've always been aware of it as kind of an iconic title, and I'm now delighted to have made its acquaintance and to have given it a home on the royal shelf.

Tonight we will watch Dinner at Eight. We both just read a bio of Marie Dressler so we are looking forward to the movie.

I'm waiting for Season 4 of Waiting for God. It's on reserved at the library. Then Season 5 and then The Grand and then we will start One Foot in the Grave, which Anthony loves (and I know Anthony's parents and Vixmom also think it's a great series). We will watch Downton on Sunday

Tomorrow we are going to The New Victory Theatre at 11am to see

Erth's Dinosaur Zoo

It's an early birthday present from a friend. I'm looking forward to it. Sounds like a lot of fun.

The

New Victory Theatre

is a gorgeous old space built in 1900. It went through many phases but in 1990 began to show legit theatre again and in 1995 it re-opened after extensive renovations. It's a jewel box and I love it.
