Good morning, all! It's is warmer today, and I am very happy for that fact.
I did not go to the reading last night. At 7:00, it was too cold, my shoulder ached too much, and I was too uncomfortable to take several different subways down to City Hall and wander about Park Row until I found the correct building.I had no idea how long the trek would take and my mood would not have been one to enjoy a new work. I owed my friend Peter more than that.
I had dinner, watched the oriignal 1962 BBC telecast of the Royal Ballet in Frederick Ashton's La Fille Mal Gardée with the original cast. It's a wonderful, funny ballet with a charming score, and it cheered me up. David Blair, Stanley Hlden, and Nadia Nerina were excellent, and at the end of the storm Alexander Grant as the simpleton-fiance is flown off with his umbrella, so we had a bit of Peter Pan and Mary Poppinfs to close the act. Very funny.
Today, I will clean house and work a bit on liner norws for DEAREST ENEMY.
