As promised, here's a little advance notice for the new Kritzerland release, which I'm expecting to sell out somewhat quickly because of the iconic nature of the film itself, the theme, and the concurrent release of the film on Blu and Ray.  It goes live at Kritzerland in the morning, but for those who want to get the order in before that - it's 23.73 (shipping included) via paypal directly to kritzerland at adelphia dot net.

Kritzerland is proud to present a new limited edition soundtrack release to one of the most beloved classics ever:

LAURA

Music Composed by David Raksin....

CD has been ordered!

It will be live at Kritzerland in the morning at six.  Otherwise, in the blurb above are instructions to get early orders in.

I'm up and have been up since eight-thirty.  I've killed another twenty of these suckers.  they seem to come in waves - none during the evening hours at all.  I've written about ten e-mails to the business manager, scheduled an appointment for an inspection tomorrow with an orange spray company, and asked the business manager to schedule an appointment with a regular termite company.  If I haven't heard from the business manager by eleven, I'll just get him on the phone.

Have you confirmed these are termites?  They sound almost like the invasion of large ants we had in our Massachusetts home.

I talked to a termite company who told me it's 98% certain they're termites.  They're getting lots of calls because this is termite season apparently.  We'll know tomorrow.  I've killed a few more with Raid rather than a DGA magazine, and sprayed the area where they seem to be congregating most.

I'll start the day with a moan. I sold a DVD on Amazon Marketplace. The buyer complained that the slipcase wasn't included. In the item description I had detailed the contents precisely; two discs, booklet, lobby cards. I explained that as far as I know the DVD was never issued with a slipcase. He then gave me a poor feedback rating because in his words "it didn't come with a slipcase" although he added he "wasn't sure whether it should have had one" but otherwise "it was in very good condition". Some of these people (especially slipcase obsessives) are unbelievable.

What a dolt!  What a maroon! :P

Yes, it's a shame Doug R can't report that kind of thing to amazon so they can remove it.

Last night we watched RACHEL AND THE STRANGER.  Had I realized Keith had never seen this wonderful movie I would have rectified that fact much sooner.

Love the pressure cooker card, MBarnum.

I think that is my favorite of all the cards I have ever posted!

By the way, enjoyed the new Outside the Box. Everytime Stephen Findle said Adrian Zmed's name I laughed.

Having also never seen THE SHINING, much of the rest went over my head.

Yup. It was merely crude, and on so many levels.

It's too bad you can post a reply. Or perhaps we could post replies correcting the misconception? Or is that ethical?

The dolphins were surprisingly MIA Saturday morning when we went out on our birding boat tour. Usually we see both birds and boats. This is an image our tour guide posted of what she saw today in the same waters:

Good afternoon.  Was wondering why I was tired then I realized I haven't had any coffee or cold medicine today.  Regardless of the time of day, it's time to remedy this situation

Hello, everyone.

Add me to the list of those who haven't seen (or read) THE SHINING. Like Vixmom, for many years I avoided horror films.

I enjoyed the OTB episode, but obviously didn't get much of it. I always enjoy the songs and the fine voices. OTB's ANIMAL FARM is my favorite.

Like Vixmom, I too loved the BBC HOUSE OF CARDS. I always enjoy Ian Richardson, but he was just so perfect in this! I'll be starting the Netflix version this week, after I finish DOWNTON ABBEY. I was very surprised to see that Netflix chose this as its second exclusive. Their first exclusive, LILLYHAMMER, was original and quite fun. We shall see.

;D

I will listen to him on my 40's station but by the 50's I begin to limit my listening of his music.  Beyond that it is truly downhill.

I shall shortly be on my way to the bank, then the mail place, and then to our video and sound check, then show.
