It appears that Mae-Ling Goldstein has quite a crush on Brent Barrett.

She's not the only one  :)

There is a helicopter hovering over the mountain. I guess on this beautiful evening, someone climbed up to watch the sunset and can't get down now that it is dark.

I guess it's better she learn at a young age about heartbreak and frustration.

Oh Elmore, you sentimental old romantic, you

That reminds me -  Friday morning when I went out to heat up the car (To melt the ice, Laura), there was a helicopter apparently circling my house

I watched out the window and watched as it made increasingly larger circles,  block my block, over my neighborhood

It was so nice to see GN Dash today. He is the cutest and happiest little boy.  Don didn't expect mom and dad and I to go to the funeral. He was genuinely very touched that we were there for him.  I'm so glad I went

The funeral was for Don's dad if that isn't clear.

Then I drove mom and dad to their house.  Mom wanted me to go through some things that she had in the basement, so I came home with A couple boxes of stuff.

LOL, the weather channel is now saying "a chance for major impacts in Nebraska an Iowa" from a snow storm on Wednesday night and Thursday.  I am so glad I decided to cancel the trip. I never would have had time to get my Drood ticket in the mail if I had waited

The timing is also perfect because I am planning to take Thursday and Friday off to do a major deep cleaning of the house.  I'm going to go through closets and drawers and toss things and donate things etc....  I am actually looking forward to it.

I was going to compliment Mae-Ling on her taste and leave it at that. But I love your 19th century novelist take on the matter.

My favorite actress loks like she;s bringing her big balls to this production of CINDERELLA. This is the ugliest costume I've seen in some time.

I didn't understand about the dress until I scrolled farther down on the photo ;D

When I did a search for "fairy godmother costume" images on Bing, I got a lot of strange outfits, but I really think this was the weirdest.

Say what?

That is a hoot, TCB. And it would look just as rotten on Ms. Clark.

Getting ready to braise some oxtail for dinner.

where does one get an oxtail?  I have never seen one in the grocery store

I grew up eating oxtail stew.  After we were married I attempted to make it, put way too much barely in not understanding how barely expands. ;D

started a big pot of stew today, which I will finish tomorrow.  No barley in mine, but it does contain lots and lots of beef!  Sorry Jane.

I've now watched the 2nd half  of the BBC ANNA KARENINAwith Helen McCrory.  Good cast, expecially the Lenin and Kitty. I love how their situation improves as Anna's goes to hell. I thought there were too many dark scenes where I had no idea who the caracters were, and the score stank. The period music was lovely but the dramatic score sucked bih yime. Yjrtr was a BBC VANITY FAIR around the same time as this that also had a puytid musical score that took me out of Becky Sharp's machinations  every time music began. I felt the same about this.

Viewing this has only whetted my desire to get back to the book. I delt lie I was watching scens from the novel but not the connective tissue,
