Now, the Count is seducing this sweet young thing with another food scene, one that involves the slicing of a gigantic black truffle. Given Gerard Depardieu's appetite, I would bet he had these food scenes written into the script.

then Vixdad and I went to a Hoedown Dinner  - a fundraiser for one of our long time church members.  Joe needs a kidney transplant - several church members have tried to donate so far and have all been turned down

the buffet dinner was barbequed chicken, pulled pork, corn on the cob, bourbon beans with bacon, salad and coleslaw.  they also had

DR JANE AVERT YOUR EYES!!

two whole barbequed pigs - which I could not bring myself to try - yes - I loved all the bacon and pulled pork but I am too much of a hypocrite to eat the meat directly from the animal

I've done absolutely nothing all day today, except watch TV and burn a couple of DVDs.  I haven't even taken a shower, yet (good thing I live alone ;)).  I haven't had much to eat either and I'm hungry.

Just had to share.

Here I am with the star of today's show, which was Shirley Valentine.  It's Dee Dee Rescher, who I haven't seen in close to thirty-seven years.  She was on the final two Dinah and Her New Best Friends series with me.

I don't know why it came out sideways, but I like it that way.

Well, even though it's sort of late, I'm going to take a shower and get me something to eat.  I have some coupons that I want to use and will expire soon, so I'm going to go out...hence, the shower.

We're supposed to get rain or snow.  It's 40 degrees now, so it would be rain, but this is the sort of rain/snow that worries me.  Too good a chance to get ice

We are supposed to get down into the 20's tonight.  Just when I thought that Spring was here.

DR Danise, sad cat story.  Thanks for doing the right thing
No need for thanks, anyone else would have done the same.  Poor thing.  I'm not the biggest cat fan, being a dog person myself but I would never hurt one and am in fact feeding a couple of possible strays--they sure are hungry if they belong to someone--because I've felt sorry for them.  I just feel bad because I don't know if they have anywhere to go in this cold.

This cold?  I thought it was 50 degrees.

DR Danise, sad to hear the cat's demise was intentional.

I don't think that was what she meant.

I don't think Jane has anything against bourbon beans.

The final scene of "The Count" has Depardieu ripping off his shirt and running into the water. He gained a lot of weight on the production, because, it wasn't pretty. The series was good, though.

If someone wants to make the picture right side up be my guest - I couldn't figure out how to do it on tinypic.  It's right side up on my computer and when I posted it to Facebook it was fine.
