And greetings from Toyland! On my walk to the subway, there were scattered snow flurries but nothing menacing or fun.

I used to travel frequently in my job - so my travel arrangements were always made for me.  I sort of miss the travel - but that's all right.

Tonight is the fraternity Dance Lessons!  I have been told that it will be held in the ballroom of the Union Building, and that there will be about 100 people present!

That's about 200 left feet.

DR ELMORE the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream reveals that your feel a portion of your career is outside your control, although you have the responsibility for the outcome. It also indicates that you are annoyed at the antics of some who are in power who do not have the knowledge to rule.

Wow! DR JRand62, I have no idea from what nook you pulled that or how, but, given all that's occurred in the last couple of days, that's quite amazing!

Good morning, all.

Panama Hattie on stage? Sounds wonderful. Fun, fun Cole Porter score with three or four great songs: I Still Got My Health, I'm Throwing a Ball Tonight, Make It Another Old Fashioned Please and Who Would Have Dreamed? Wish there were a recording of the complete score.

Be careful for what you wish! You might get it with a tiny orchestration like the Vernon Duke "Sweet Bye and Bye."

Hey, I have -- and love -- the piano version of "Something for the Boys."

I love the Westerns that Anthony Mann made with Jimmy Stewart.  Also, THE TIN STAR with Henry Fonda.

Today we are going to the Post Office so that Joe can see how New Yorkers live. After that we will head to Grand Central to see the 100th Anniversary exhibit. After that Joe will meet his NYU friend for late lunch/early dinner and then we go to see Annie. It's a full day.

We are skipping the lunch w/Joe's friend.

That's odd it doesn't open for you.

They charged him twice for his stay which left his account overdrawn & no access to money.

I didn't say that the link would not open for me. I said that i could not open the link now (meaning i was on my kindle).

Thanks for explaining.  I would think that it would be fairly easy for him to prove that he was charged twice. It sounds like he did not pay by credit card (which would have been much easier for him as then he could simply have called his credit card company and they would have reversed the 2nd charge).

DD #3 to the groomer today. Going to get blood drawn for tests.  Chores at home.  The spider show in the afternoon and the helicopter in the evening.

And these are the days of our lives

Getting home from work yesterday was rather difficult. The railroad built the line going directly through downtown Salem more than a century ago...over the years this has caused any number of deadly accidents, FYI....anyway, just at 5 oclock a freight train speeds through and screeches to a halt. Don't know if it hit someone or what, but that is ususally the case.

So, you have all these business people needing to get from their offices to their cars/bus stops (or in my case, my apartment) but there is a mile long train in the way with no way to get around it.

On the corner that I was at, a group of us waited and waited and waited for over 20 minutes. Finally we could tell that the train was not going anywhere soon so we all climbed over it. It was quite a sight. Women in high heels and dresses and men in suits one by one climbing atop this flatbed car and on over to the other side.

Unfortunately, the people in automobiles did not have this option and traffice was tied up pretty good and for quite awhile.

DR JohnG, you have great taste in food!
Thank you.  For Easter, we're doing porchetta, and Italian dish in which you take the pork roast and wrap and entire sheet of pork belly around it, so the fat melts and permeates the roast with its flavor. It's a happy thing.

I'll chip in if it means Jrand will come to New York.  Can we start a Kickstarter campaign for this?

Had such a fun dream - I was in NY in 1967 - me now - somehow back there.  First thing I did was walk into Joe Allen - full up, and so smoky I could barely breathe - everyone smoking - it was funny.  I said, "Enjoy it now - you'll either be dead or unable to do it in about thirty years."
