Strange dinner: a slice of pizza and a bowl of succotash.

Succotash pizza.  I wonder if one could start a trend.

Sounds awful! The only veggies I like on my pizza are sausage and mushrooms

Here is one of the Chinese restaurants in Salem, Oregon, 97303 (north side of town...not the good side of town)

Kind of looks like the kind of place where you might not really be eating chicken, doesn't it?

Okay, that is the biggest picture I've seen on HHW.

Had to scroll way over to the right to see where they bring in the cats and dogs.

LOL! That picture kept being huge...I have now replaced it with another, more suitably sized photo.

Love this one.  God, I so miss REAL neighborhood sit-down Chinese restaurants.

Of course that one was on Collins Ave. in Miami Beach, so not really a neighborhood jernt, but you know what I mean.

However, that is not the Chinese restaurant Jim and I are going to. We are going to the one that services pork belly, kidney, pig stomach, and tripe.

I am convinced the high dust content in the Costco litter killed one of my cats.  I hope they have improved the quality of the litter.

I don't use Costco litter anymore...it's just too dusty for me.  I get Arm & Hammer Essentials.  Fortunately, Ebonie (my cat) and I both like it.  I get it at Fred Meyer for less than what Amazon has it for.

Portland, Oregon has a bunch of those DR ChasSmith. They all look like holdovers from the Cold War era....and some of them are.

So this is really weird...but fun.  I'm listening to "Juliana Hansen - Live at Sterling’s Upstairs at the Federal while perusing a t-shirt website, SnorgTees.com, and at the exact moment that she started singing "There's a Fine, Fine Line", I clicked on the link to THIS t-shirt:

That seems to happen to me quite often:  I'll be listening to a song and the moment I hear a word in the song, I see it on the screen of whatever I'm reading...more often than what would seem to me to be just coincidence.

Spooooooky! ;)

Good.  This is much better.  Craig was always trying various natural litters for Kitty.  Some bothered my allergies so he would switch.  Kitty seemed fine with all of them.

That is one dreadful movie! I think itwas Leonard Maltin's review that said "Orloff is awful."

Good morning, all! Around 5:45 I had a panic attack about ROBERTA and the fact that I am currently in conductor hell, and that was the end of my sleeping. Around 6:45, I figured to hell with it, bathed, and dressed. In another hour or so, I'll do the week's laundry, mop the bathroom and plan my next course of action.

There's been no fallout from yesterday's spectral visitation, or whatever it was, so I'm still unsure of what was going on there. I've just sent the recording producer an inquiry into when we'd hear the rest of the DEAREST ENEMY,  which I'm certain will get me a terse, unpeasant response.  Color me discontent today.

I hate it when I wake up in a panic over a case.  Different details, same feeling  Vibes it gets better

I get the clumping one, Simplicity Plus.  It can raise a cloud of dust if I pour a bunch into the pan from on high, but after that it's fine and they've been using it nicely for a few years.

It isn't the Kirkland brand then?

From DR Laura:
Quote
I know, Jane. Someone unfriended me once that I know of. I figured it out. I had hurt feelings for a while. I guess I'd rather not know if someone unfriends me.

I've only had one real friend unfriend me.  A few others did & I was just fine with it or, in one situation, understood the person was reducing their FB friend to their personal friends.

It is hard not to notice when someone is posting on a regular basis and then stops.  My first instinct is to make sure the person is ok.

From time to time I've cut down on the number of friends on facebook.  I don't decide it by who is a real friend.  If they don't ever post I may unfriend them. It's like having an eavesdropper, just listening and reading and never saying a word.  That's kind of creepy.

If all they ever post is political stuff or stuff I'm not interested in at all, I have unfriended them. I did that for several people during the last election.  Some I have sent a new friend invitation, some I haven't.  I had a friend who was commenting negatively on everything I was posting....I don't need that on my facebook, so I'd deleted her comments.  The response was that I would never let anyone disagree with me....so I unfriended her.  It is my facebook page, she can say anything she wants to on her page she didn't need to be snarky on mine.

I just think people need to quit taking it personally.  It may not be
