My mother would have said, "Went to Costco for cat litter. Came back with avocados, bananas, and cookies.  Forgot the litter."

That's me.  I went to the store three times before I remembered to get the butter I needed

LOL! I don't think you're crazy, though. My mother was, God rest her soul!

I wasn't crazy - until Jonathan the video guy from you-know-where started..., oh never mind.  :)

What puzzles me is that the mere fact that the publicist did what he did under a false name seems to suggests that he knew what he was doing was somehting he didn;lt want the producers of the show to know he was doing, o it was something he was trying to do without them knowing about it WHILE he was working for them.  Doesn't that pretty much say he was betraying them and knew it?

Anyone else watching Project Runway with the male strippers?

Spoiler line from Heidi Klum if you're watching later....

brilliant moment when Heidi suddenly realizes:  "I forgot to vote"  because she was watching the guys stripping rather than the clothes, i think

Hmmm...I think I might have to check this out.  I've never watched the show, but this particular episode intrigues me. ;)

George, from that perspective, well worth it.  (It's a 90-minute episode, though, just FYI.)

TOD

I saw "A Study in Terror" when it was first released but didn't much care for it. It was an over-sensationalised Holmes film - at least for 1965. It received a British X ceritificate.

I read this as you saw this movie when you were first released.  I was thinking TMI.

Oh, those lovely CDs.  Definitely ordering both.  Especially can't wait to hear the musical, of which I believe I know nothing.

DR John G, I am sorry to hear your bad news. I just got your email:

Good Day

It takes me great pain to write this mail to you and i feel so devastated...
Both My family and I are stuck in Manila, Philippines at the moment. We are on a short trip to Philippines and unfortunately we got robbed last night, it was terrible and so scary... Cash, credit cards and cell phone were stolen but luckily for us no one was hurt and we still have our passports.

I am  really having some difficulties clearing our hotel bills and also need to pick up a voucher ticket at the counter for us to catch a flight back home as soon as possible.
All we need right now is $1,850 USD but anything you can spare pending when we get things straightened out will be appreciated and I promise to refund you as soon as we arrive home safely. Western union is the best way to get money across to me.
Kindly email me back to let you know the remittance info.

I look forward to read from you.

The check is in the mail!

I am so sorry to read of your problems, John.

From DR George:
Quote
I've only unfriended a couple of people because I didn't really know them.  They were friends of friends who, for whatever reason, wanted to be friends with me.  Their updates didn't interest me, so I put an end to that.  I have five friend requests that I haven't responded to.  I don't know who they are at all, so why would they want to be Facebook friends??

I've had tons of those through the Bernese Mountain Dog community which I'm still involved, which is why I limited my acceptances to those I am aware of my name and have had conversations with through friends.

What I don't get is sending an invite to someone that doesn't know you without including a message to introduce yourself.

Well I couldn't send a message when I asked Ms. Streisand to friend me, because she already had that restraining order.

The plumber has gone, I've cleaned up the detritus, vacuumed, put a screen in one of my windows, and spoken to Joshie. Tomorrow I'll go to the Encores! orchestra rehearsal and meet his parents, who are in for the weekend.  I'll try to grab a moment with Rob Berman about the ROBERTA megillah.

I thought you were his parents?

One of the soldiers killed in the helicopter crash in Afghanistan last Monday was from my home town.  I didn't know him or his parents, but my brother told me the young man who died was in Boy Scouts the same time my nephew Adam was.   It think Adam is about 3 or 4 year solder than Steve.   Really sad.  He was married and had a very young son.

The Department of Defense hasn't announced who the people were yet, so apparently the city can't ask to lower the flag to half staff until they do.  Now how stupid is that.  Everyone in town already knows about it.

Well, it's been an interesting day.  It was 58 degrees on my car thermometer when I came home from work.  The walk that I struggled to shovel this morning now has no snow beside it.  Sheesh! I should have scheduled the repair men for Friday, then I wouldn't have had to clear the path!

Last night we watched the wonderful RANDOM HARVEST starring the equally wonderful Greer Garson & Ronald Coleman.

I insist that Keith has seen this movie with me and he insists there is no way he could have forgotten this as it is simply too good to forget.

One of my all-time favorite stories.

Interesting!  Three dear readers were here while I was catching up on Page 6 & 7.  All three left without posting.  I did shower this morning - and brushed my teeth.
