Back from a really interesting work session - we ran through all the album stuff and it's going to be really good. But that wasn't the interesting part - the interesting part came after, just sitting and talking - I'll talk about it more in the notes, but it's why I always insist with singers that there are a lot of conversations, because out of them sometimes brilliant ideas can emerge, and that's what happened. In about thirty minutes Lanny and I will be on our way to the Ford's Theater via Metro - we'll pick up our tickets and then find somewhere fun to dine. And then, it's Hello, Dolly!

I am reading a very interesting book for review - it is titled TENDER COMRADES. Interviews with those who were personally and professionally involved in the Blacklisting of the 1950's....

I didn't expect to like it - but there are a lot of interesting stories in there.....much better than a "history" of the times written by someone who just researches the facts.

I just read a bit about the book. It sounds very interesting, especially the interviews with those defending why they ratted out others to save themselves.

I am thinking of buying another corned beef this weekend, just so I can cook up a whole bunch of potatoes and carrots. The one I bought last weekend was more St. Fatty's Day, than St. Patty's Day. But damn those spuds and carrots were 2 die 4.
