2000 calories per meal, right?
Per course, right?

vixmom - Was it true that people gorged on appetizers and the dinner wnet to waste, or was that an exaggeration on her part?

no it is absolutely true - however she would say dinner is at 3 and we would all skip lunch and arrive ravenous to discover that dinner was 2 hours away and the coffee table was full of appetizers -  so we would eat  those all up and by time the dinner came out we weren''t hungry -  so I hope dinner is REALLY being served when she says it will be

This is the sanctuary of the church where I was raised.  I still attend this church, or did until this wheelchair fixation came about.  The windows represent The Lord's Prayer.

that is a beautiful sanctuary - why is being wheelchair bound keeping you from church?  Too difficult to travel or is the church not wheelchair accessible?

I did that myself, the first time I joined for a Christmas dinner at a friend's house where there were umpteen appetizers and a couple of first courses that I unwittingly took to be the main meal.  Boy, was I in trouble.  I was much better on subsequent occasions, having learned my lesson that day.

Richard brought burgers from Five Guys for our dinner.  We're watching Ohio State trying to do what Michigan did last night.

Phil Ramone has died.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/music/phil-ramone-grammy-winning-producer-and-musical-innovator-dead-at-72/2013/03/30/1aba452e-995d-11e2-b5b4-b63027b499de_story.html?hpid=z3

I may like BK's version of "Promises, Promises" better, but I did spend many a pleasureable hour listening to Ramone's.

Thank you for the travel vibes.  There was a slight glitch---we boarded the plane and the pilot got on the intercom and said that there had been pressurization problems on the way from Boston to Baltimore and they decided to do the maintenance at Baltimore.  So the passengers got off the plane, were told to go to another gate and we took off about an hour later.

It could have been much worse!

My nephew and new wife and his daughter picked me up at my sister's  for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, where my brother was waiting for us.    They showed my sister photos from the wedding.    My sister and husband and son couldn't join us as they were going to my brother-in-law's mother's for dinner.

A good reason to offer one appetizer :)

Not too bad since you didn't need to make a connecting flight.
