I'm not sure what we're casting, but I pick Daniel Day-Lewis to play me.

I've never been a calorie counter -- when I've dieted, it's been something like Atkins in which you stick to a certain type of food but you don't count calories -- but I believe it's time to start.

What prompted this post (in addition to Ye Olde Waistline, of course) is the foodstuff I just ate and very much enjoyed.  I like some of the wraps at Trader Joe's and today I picked up their Wild Pacific Salmon Wrap.  First off, it's delicious and quite hefty and filling.  It consists of salmon, cucumbers, spinach, and yogurt dill sauce in a tomato tortilla.  Okay, if truth be told (and it must, it must), I could eat three of these in a sitting.  But I'm trying to cut out that kind of binge eating.

Anyhoo, I'd noticed that this wrap was notably lower in sodium than their others (some of which have four times the amount), and lower in carbs.  But what I'm not used to looking at is the calories.  Unfortunately, they seem to believe this fine piece of foodstuff consists of two (2) servings.  And that's how they get you.  But the numbers still aren't bad.  Calorie count is 400, or 200 for half.  If you're a stronger person than I, you will eat half of this and save the rest for later.  That's a concept foreign to my way of life, and something I need to work on.

DR FJL, why would someone who has a civil rights suit be barred from a party? It doesn't make sense.

OK, so far our cast is:

Sally Field as DR Jane
Meryl Streep as DR Vixmom
Kathy Bates as DR Ginny

All Oscar winners...

well of course!

Would you expect anything less?

Back from all sorts of things - I needed more Alavert - they had none so I bought Claritan-D after the showed me conclusively that it's exactly the same as Alavert.  I picked up some packages, then went to JOS Bank and bought some jeans and one pair of slacks, black.  The jeans were one size and fit perfectly, the slacks were another size and fit perfectly.  See what I mean?

I think she would be a very good fit for you. :)

I choose Kathy Bates to play me.

I would have picked Eileen Heckart for you, DR Ginny.

I'm sure there are no such rules. But they've decided they don't like you so they made a rule for you. Why would you want to go?

To answer your question from yesterday, TCB--yes, I am going to the Lincoln Center Tribute to Ms. Streisand.  Sounds like it should be an entertaining event.

I have even tried on several pairs of jeans, all in the same size and only found one pair that fit.

I'm about to go out and subject myself to sitting through JURASSIC PARK in 3D IMAX.  Oy!  But a friend really wants to catch it in its only week here in that format, we're getting in free (pays to know theater managers), and -- oh what the heck, it'll be fun.  I shan't like getting my eardrums blown out, and IMAX tends to lean in that direction these days.  Maybe I'll be the one wearing 3D glasses and earplugs.

John G., Anthony has been taking tap for about a year and a half.

He began in an absolute beginner class (if you can walk you can tap) and has moved his way up to what's called "Fast Beginner" two steps up from Absolute Beginner. He loves it and takes class 3 times a week.

I read this as "Anthony has been taking a nap for about a year and a half" lOL

Sadly, it's called vanity sizing.

Well I have finished 800 DVD's - all in binders in a semblance of order.....have prolly about that many more to go....but I am getting there.  I did Foreign Films and Peplum Films today....

Next week:  Musicals.....

Wait a minute, DR Jrand62.  Are you filing these alphabetically within category, or what exactly?  If they're filed in any kind of strict order, what happens when you acquire something new?  Or are the pages in the binder removable so you can insert new ones easily?  Or are you setting up some kind of numbering system?

We need some more information here.

Well we have just SPENT four and one half hours without inner web or cable.  Thanks Comcast!!!

I am dividing the discs first by subject......the alphabetically by title.  I am using regular 3" ring binders, and some sheets that hold 4 disks on each side.  I include the paper from the disks in a sheet protector next to the sheet.  So all binders can be added to....and rearranged as needed.

I am keeping Blu Ray discs in a separate binder that will grow to TWO binders very soon....but easy enough to do.
