I was hoping that I would find that ITALLIANETTE was on CD, but evidently not.

And, Larry, I hope you get the leading man of your dreams.

I agree!  And I hope you find someone to sing for the recording as well

It would seem that actress Sarita Montiel has also passed away. She died in Madrid, Spain today at age 85.

Here's a little taste of last night's show - Jenna Rosen singing Never Never Land.

I will have to view it tomorrow.  My laptop won't open it.

It was a long time before Craig could tell us that he was getting divorced.  We suspected but waited until he was ready to talk about it.  At least there wasn't a child and no one cheated on the other.

I was devastated when I got divorced.  I had really been hoping to be a widower.

I had several things I had planned to do today.  Just before I left for P.T., I started having stomach cramps.  I swallowed a couple of Gas-X and headed off to therapy.  I barely made it thru therapy before I was hit by an urgent call of nature.  Everything else on the schedule (including lunch with my sister) was pit off until tomorrow.   By 2:00 p.m. I felt I needed to take a nap.  I slept until Nicky woke me up at 6:15.

Thanks, John.  I feel fine now, but I probably won't get a lot of sleep tonight.

What did we do before the Internet? I knew I had heard of Sarita Monteil. Thanks to Wikipedia, I know why:

She was portrayed in the Pedro Almodóvar film Bad Education by a male actor in drag (Gael García Bernal) as the transsexual character Zahara, and a film clip from one of her movies was used as well.

I guess my hometown will be cheering tonight. And I'm sorry, Ginny. Kentucky last year, UL this year.

OK, that's my sports break for the year.

Just finishing a DVD of "Rags" with Teresa Stratas. Charles Strouse may have wanted to throw a chair at her for being a royal pain, but, man, could she sing the heck out of that score. And the script wasn't all that bad; not perfect, just not as good as Strouse's insanely wonderful melodies. I have to do some research to find out why the critics hated it so much.

I have never seen it or heard the score.  I remember seeing one number from the show on the Tonys.

FJL I am glad you are pleased with your discovery - may it help you to find peace and resolution

A long way off to peace, and likely years and years to resolution, unless this makes them settle finally instaed of playing the stupid games they've been playing.  But it's a good step towards hopefully holding rotten people accountable.  It doesn't begin to answer why the people decided to be rotten, which remains a mystery, and the lasting horrible effects of what they did.
