I approved the master for the project with the missing track.  And the master for the title that releases alongside it.

And I had a turkey sandwich and no fries or onion rings, since we're not supping before the show.  Whether I go to the after party is undecided.  I'm overtired so I'm not sure I'll want to.  If it were next to the theater or something that would be one thing, but it's a good ten to fifteen minute drive from there.

I don't worship at the altar of Apple. I don't worship at the altar of anyone, actually, but especially not Apple.

You don't worship at the altar of Anthony?

DR Chas your new machines look very nice.

Thank you, DR Jane.  Now I just have to learn how to use them, and especially how to avoid a mold build-up in the washer door, which I understand is common in front-loaders.

I suggest getting a good microfiber towel to keep by the machine and dry the door every time a load of wash finishes.  I have a glass lid on my top loader I dry to prevent spotting.  I hang my towel on the side of the machine from a little hook with a suction cup.

Has anyone hear heard about "Superfocus" eyeglasses? I saw an ad for it last night on CNN and was intrigued. There are no suppliers by my home and I've been reading both good and bad reviews about them, but I would like to hear a first hand report on them.

Here is the website

https://superfocus.com

I think these would make me dizzy while I was adjusting them.

The $500+ price is enough to make ME dizzy! :o

and a quad latte from Peet's.

Doesn't your McDonald's have a McLatte?

Turnips.

Turnips are tubers.

I have eaten turnips.

I prefer turnip greens (love 'em, actually).

The turnip, itself, does nothing for me, but it's nutritious.  My mother used to cook turnips until they had a consistency like grits or farina.  The taste is not repulsive, but it is also not yummy (to me).  Still, I've occasionally had diced (in tiny cubes) turnips mixed in with greens and they are just fine that way.

I have eaten turnips on veggie trays.  They are quite zippy!  I often confuse turnips with rutabeggas.

DR Mike, I looked into Superfocus about a week or two ago. Interesting idea! I decided against them for myself because the bridge of my nose is small and yet i must have a good bridge fit. I'm highly myopic ("high minus") plus have an astigmatism, so correct fit is very important. Superfocus only offers four frame styles and all have a wide bridge. They have to because the bridge is where the little pinwheel for the adjustment is. They have nose pads, which are adjustable, but I've never been comfortable with them. On the plus side, they can handle a high minus Rx (not everyone can).

As for prices, here is what I was quoted:
Leonardo frame.....................$475
Clear lens.................................50
Hi-index lens............................90

Total ...................................$624 plus sales tax

That's actually fairly competitive for my lenses, plus you'd have a wider range of vision vs a progressive. I don't know of anyone who has worn one, but the testimonials are impressive. If you find someone who has they and will refer you, you'll get 10% off.

Now, ChasSmith, do they load themselves? Do dirty clothes fly off the floor and into their bubbling arms? That's the kind of washer/dryer I need.

That would be a nice bonus -- but what I, DR ChasSmith, need, are the kind that finish the load and sort and fold and put the clothes on hangers and put them away.

I think there's an app for that.

There was an article in the paper here today about the new baseball/Jackie Robinson movie.  They expressed disappointment that his time in Montreal was not even really mentioned. That is a shame since he was a big deal here.  The writer thought that maybe it was because people in Montreal loved him so much. And it wouldn't have fit with the theme of the movie/ all the problems he had in the US.  Still sad. I was really looking forward to seeing that part of the movie.

Maybe someone in Canada needs to make a movie about the "missing years" of his story. ;)

There was a Jackie Robinson statue in Montreal,  at the white elephant called the Olympic Stadium but somewhere along the way it was removed and has disappeared.

Nice!!!  What a shame it was removed.  I had no idea he was so popular in Montreal.

Well it was 1946 or something (before my time). But he played baseball for the Montreal Royals (the farm team for the Brooklyn Dodgers).

I got Seusical to load, but it loaded each Annie song as a separate album.

I do NOT want to buy anything from the itunes store. I just want to put the stupid album on the ipod so the child can listen to it and I don't have to.

Mostly the ipod is a very expensive pedometer.

DR Mike has the snow eased up?  It didn't look bad at all.

Thank you for the video's & the music.

It has eased up. I leave late afternoon so I am hoping everything will be okay at the airport by the time I leave.

Hello Everyone:

Bk, Did you do the background music for" How Green Is my Valley"?  It is another favorite of mine.  It also was my Aunt Betty's favorite.

It just came out.  You can read about it here:  http://kritzerland.com/greenValley.htm

When Kate first posted her question, I was thinking that she was asking, "BK, Did you write the background music....?"

I don't know why I thought that.

I thought so too

I think it is just the base price. I will talk with my eye doctor. But I have been look at other websites and most of the commen ts I have read are negative. I would like to find so positives comments and not from people who work for the company.

So, I prepped the eBlast using the new way of doing Constant Contact - it was confusing at first as I just didn't remember everything I was told from the other day, so I completely screwed up a few things, including deleting all my images out of the image library.  So, I called them and a nice lady talked me through getting my images back and then basically told me the only three things I'll ever need to remember, which I wrote down but now "get" anyway.  The great thing about this new way of doing this is that all I do is "copy" whatever the previous eBlast was - once I have the copy, I rename it with the current name, and then simply click edit and once in editing the only thing I have to do is change the date, delete the text from the previous eBlast and cut and paste in the new text, put the cursor where I want the cover, click on Image and a plus sign and insert and voila it's done and saved as a draft until I'm ready to schedule.  It's about fifteen less steps than before and for anyone who has gotten our eBlasts you'll remember how awful those endless blocks of text were because that version of the program didn't break things into paragraphs at all ever.  This one, you simply paste in exactly what you wrote, with the paragraphs, and it goes in just like that.  So much nicer!

Well, I managed to get Annie on there. I had to add each song, and then put them in the correct order. I also made a playlist of the "best" songs, because she'll probably want to listen to those, mostly.

And I guess I will end my HHW Friday with a picture of our newly tilled and seeded lawn that hopefully will have green grass soon.  The drought last summer did it in.
