Danise, you did the right thing. I am so over those kind of "exercises" They can do more damage than management could ever imagine.

We will most likely be seeing Kinky Boots on Thursday. My friend will go to the Hirschfeld Theatre on Thursday morning, trying to be first in line as he was for Bette Midler, and get $37 rush tickets.

That's what I think. I don't understand why they don't see that.  I guess they will learn the hard way.  I just hope there aren't to many hard feelings.

I may be in a little bit of trouble at work.  I wouldn't post this on FB because some people I'm friends with are from there.  We are going though a class.  Well the assignment for this week is to tell 2 things you like and 1 you don't about every person on the floor.  They said it would be a secret as to who says what but they call it "A Gift of Feedback".  Well, I'm sorry folks but I don't see it that way.  I feel like you could say fifty nice things but all anyone is going to look at is the things you don't like.  By making it a secret as to who said what your going to have people wondering if you are the one who said something that could possibly be taken as hurtful.

I said I wanted to be excused from this assignment because I felt it wasn't a "Gift" but a "Pandora's Box".  I think something like this is more likely to cause more problems then help build the team.

Anyway, I was excused but it was at the very end of the day and I just have a feeling I'm going to be called down to the office whenI get back.

I think I did the right thing.  I can't believe we would be asked to even do this type of thing.  What do you think?

Danise, I agree with you (and everyone else)!  This just sounds like it'll open up a whole can o' worms. :P

Alec Baldwin has written an attack of Ben Brantley that is quite humorous.

"Ben Brantley, who I must state up front is no fan of mine (every John Simon must have his Amanda Plummer, I suppose), is not a good writer. Whereas Rich's keen sense of what worked or did not work on stage helped to elevate the position of his desk, Brantley is viewed as some odd, shriveled, bitter Dickensian clerk who has sought to assemble a compendium of essays on theatre, the gist of which often have no relationship to the events onstage themselves."

Did you ask them to fix the "problem" so we can post photos again?

They are simply our host and don't fix anything.  If you mean the folks who are updating and redesigning, of course - all that will be fixed and more.

I thought they might help you with it, but then I guess we can wait for the redesign :)

Keith is popping corn but I shall pass.  I took my car for an oil change, purchased a few new swim suits, went to See's Candy & then to Baskin Robbins.  After all the goodies my new suits are going to be snug.

Danise, that is a horrible exercise, and it certainly will not do any "team building."

I concur (with a nod to Frank Abagnale) -- with Danise and everyone else.  As I read that I kept saying to myself, oh my god, oh my god, horrible, horrible.  But like DR Jane said (I think it was Jane), be sure to state your reasons calmly and clearly and reasonably.

Exactly.  Talk about initiating a situation certain to cause suspicion and bitterness.

Just watched "The Gay Falcon," the first of the Falcon movies. Quite a lot of fun.

A problm with Baldwin;s theory than Brantley is not a fan of his  seems to be that Brantley is a big fan of Baldwin on screen:

from the ORPHANS review:  unctuous Jack Donaghy, the egomaniacal producer Mr. Baldwin played so delectably on “30 Rock.”

From the ENTERTAINING MR SLOANE review:  Certainly, Mr. Baldwin, who has been a brilliant screen villain, has it in him to find Ed's murkier depths.

Thoughts about THE MENTALIST:

I just finished watching the season finale of THE MENTALIST, and I must say that I am getting totally bored with the "Red John" storyline. It just goes on and on and on. They should have ended it 2 seasons ago, but it is going to continue into next season.

Have the show's producers or writers even decided on the ultimate identity of "Red John"?

If not, I have a suggestion.

"Red John" should be PATRICK JANE. He has a Jekyll/Hyde personality and is completely unaware of it.

I know that might sound ridiculous because Patrick Jane is the likable hero of this series.

On the other hand, if he WAS revealed to be "Red John" when the series finally ends, THE MENTALIST would surely be hailed as the most remarkable, ground-breaking dramatic series ever to air on television.

I can't remember another series where the hero turned out to be the villain. Can you?

(Remember, if THE MENTALIST does end that way -- and I have absolutely no inside information on how or when it will end -- you read it here first.)

 ;)

I'm not at all surprised the jury isn't back yet and I don't think it's necessarily a good or bad sign.  Heck OJ was 3 hours and it was not guilty.

I think I should keep my mouth shut ;)

My point is, everyone keeps saying a short verdict is pro-prosecution and a long verdict is pro-defense.  It ain't necessarily so
