Tonight I am going to a board meeting for an organization I am active with. They have their board meetings in bars. Much more fun than church board meetings.

There are a couple of local AA groups that always meet in bars.

 testing their will power?

I guess someone figured they could all find the place.

Also, has anyone had a problem with  this site's  "your session timed out"?  I'm surprised that this has happened to me several times now.
Larry, when you log in, do you log in at the bottom of a page and specify a time to stay logged in, or do you log in at the top of the page where one of the drop-down box options is "forever"?  I never log out, so I never have to log in...on my home computer, at least.

DR George, that sounds wonderful, but could you explain how to make it work?  I've never understood what that "forever" is supposed to do.  If you stay logged in, how is it your name only shows up when you're really "here"?

I just assume that when I close my browser (even without logging out), the HHW board can tell and makes me disappear from the "Users Online" list.  When I come back, I always go to www.haineshisway.com (that's what I have bookmarked) and when I go in, I'm automatically logged in at that point.

Does your refrigerator light always stay on when you close the door?

Well, I must go to bed...but I've finished all the "Behind the Candelabra" DVDs, so I'll send them out today.  Just to confirm, the people who've asked for them are BK, Druxy, John G., Arnold M. Brockman and Kate.  And I also have "Carousel" for Laura.

DVDs have been sent!  Let me know if you don't get them.

 ;)

I didn't get mine.

Do you still not want one?  Because it's not in the mail just for you! :D

Yes, no thank you, I would love not to have one.

I tried to do this, but no go.  Closed the tab and waited a minute, then went to the HHW board on my smartphone -- on which I had specifically logged out earlier today.  The user list showed me still logged in.

You always stay on the list for about five or ten minutes.

Well, I must be off.  I've been at work for far too long, today.

Be back later...and I'm not logging off.  Maybe someone can watch to see how long I'm shown as being online, when I'm really not.

We are trying to hire two assistants at the office  - we had three interviews scheduled today  - the first one was 15 minutes late  and no phone call  - although it was teeming rain and  she was on a highway so perhaps a phone call was not really possible

Interviewees #2 and #3  were just no shows - not so much as a phone call

That makes the decision pretty easy. Time to interview more people

I was amazed that people would make an appointment to be interviewed and  then just not appear - even if they decided they weren't interested you  would think they would have the courtesy to cancel

I agree.  I can't imagine blowing off an interview

Nope we are regulars at this IHop  and they very kindly allow me to order half orders - so I just get one crepe

Larry, when you log in, do you log in at the bottom of a page and specify a time to stay logged in, or do you log in at the top of the page where one of the drop-down box options is "forever"?  I never log out, so I never have to log in...on my home computer, at least.

I never log out and I have to log in every time even though it says "forever"

Hmm...maybe it's a setting on your browser.  I have mine set to remember my passwords.

Now that I think about it, I've been clearing my cache a lot because of the FB games I play.  But the delete setting doesn't delete passwords...hmmm
