And the word of the day is: BURKE!

I thought of taking that as my stage last name.

I hope your back improves quickly, Elmore. I am having back pain, too. But luckily a weak pill helps me when I need it.

I knew yesterday was Tuesday, but it felt like Wednesday by the end of it.  So I was thinking today was Thursday.  But it isn't.  I'm going to be very confused by the time Friday rolls around.

Sorry Kerry, but there is no Friday this week.

The reviewer got several things wrong - I believe it's been corrected now.  And no, it wasn't for political correctness - I chose the one Seven Brides song I love.

Most beautiful woman: When I was a teen, certain Catherine Deneuve ala Umbrellas of Cherbourg.  When I was pre-teen - many - I loved Ingrid Thulin circa 1956 as those who've read my first novel know and, of course, the most beautiful woman ever for those young years was and probably still is Leslie Parrish.

Re libraries: I stopped using the library many years ago. On two occasions they notified me that I had overdue books that I know I returned. I found the exact books on their shelves (their numbers matched). On another occasion, they notified me that a book about children and art was overdue. I never ever checked out a book on that topic.  I simply don't trust their system, and I certainly do not want my credit to get a ding from their sloppy record-keeping.

Sorry, Ginny.

I could not live without the library. At my library you can see when they are taking a book off your account. And you get a receipt when you take out or return books. So you can make sure right away that everything came off correctly.

Page Two NOT USING LIPSTICK Dance. Oh, and my toupee looks better now....it had a life of its own on Tuesday night when that picture was taken....for everyone in the county to see.

Now, who does our DR JRand62 look like? He sure reminds me of someone either on tv or 1930s and 40s films. I used to have a memory.

I think he looks like William Windom.

DR Elmore, I think DR JRand kind of looks like William Windom when he played a James Thurber type in a TV series.  Can't remember the name of the series...

Sorry, I didn't read ahead.  It was MY WORLD AND WELCOME TO IT, but I imagine that will be answered in the next post.

I loved My World and Welcome To It - Windom was great and so was the very young Lisa Gerritson - and WEHT Lisa Gerritson?

I am home and in serious trouble: I twisted my back and now I've got a pinched nerve or something that is inhibiting my walking and standing. I can hardly move and the pain is dreadful.

Oh no, elmore.  Healing vibes to DR elmore!

Lisa Gerritsen left the show business in 1977 - when last seen she was with a software company in northern California in 2008.

Top of that, my Uncle Harold, who married my mother's sister Lois, died today. He was a wonderful man, and I loved him very much.

My condolences, Larry.

Is Weak Pill the brand name or the generic?

Got to do something about my classical CDs - I moved them into the hall linen closet and they're in there three rows deep and while I found a couple of Milhaud CDs I can't find the ones I want - same with Howard Hanson.  So, I have to figure something out.

Larry, I'm so sorry for your loss.
