I am home and so is Richard!

We stopped at Kroger pharmacy where we dropped off the 4 new prescriptions that make up his "cardiac cocktail."  It's slightly different from mine, but quite similar.  Between 3 and 6 I will go back to pick up his meds and do a little grocery shopping.

Amazing.  Also, WOW.  Congratulations, DR Ginny and DH Richard!!

Richard and I were talking on the way home about all the awful things that have happened in August - our fathers' deaths (in the same week in 1984), John's death 4 years ago, my heart attack 3 years ago, and, now, Richard's episode.  Oh, and my last uncle died on this past Tuesday.

Fortunately, lots of people we love have birthdays in August, including my sister tomorrow.  Her gift will be a little late, but she'll understand.  I did make some progress on the knitted portion during some long hours at the hospital Thursday and Friday.

Wow!  I see that GATSBY is already for sale on "Oldies.com."  Oldies also has THE COMPLETE THIN MAN for $31.80, cheaper than Amazon's $35.94, but I have Amazon Prime, so I don't have to pay the postage.  There is some yoyo online who is selling the same "COMPLETE" DVD for $61.00!!  I suppose some fool will buy it without checking around.

Good morning, all! Today is our second day of band rehearsals. This morning, we will finish going through Act Two, and this afternoon the singers will rehearse with the band. It shoulkd be a lot of fun.  Diana Montague joins us today, and I look forward to meeting her.

Last night my leg was acting up quite a bit; I finally took some Tylenol for Arthritis and eventually fell asleep.  I take some comfort in the fact that if I were a horse, I would now be a can of dogfood.

Have a great day, everyone! I'm off to breakfast.

But don't worry, elmore, we would all buy a can and keep it in the pantry so that no dog could get to you!

Sing it, Ella!  ("That Old Black Magic," live from Rome, 1958)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWTyLkeWTgw

Was that recorded in Rome, GA or Rome, NY?

Good news, DR Ginny! I got your PM and I appreciate the full report.

Diana Montague has arrived, and we have our full cast!  Tomorrow morning, Jason and Kim will record "I Won't Dance," and Jason and Annalene will record their playful "Let's Begin."  The heavies are in the afternoon session with Diana: "The Touch of Your Hand" (Death Scene), "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes," and "Yesterdays."

After the band sessions, everyone staying at the Hibernian Club - Annalene, Patrick, Kim, Michele McKenzie, Jason, Glenn, Rob, and I - went to a good Italian place around the corner from the Club. It's a wonderful group of folk, and we had a  fantastic time. I've taken my pain meds; I didn't earlier in the day and my leg is feeling it.  I've got two violin parts to mark up for tomorrow, and I'm going to bed.

Had some bacon and eggs, picked up one package, did some banking, and have been writing the commentary for the last few hours - I'm over two-thirds through so will finish later tonight.  I still have to listen to the Sandy mixes today and so no rest or relaxation for me, I'm afraid, since I now also have to go jog.
