Has anyone done Peter Filichia's quiz on Kritzerland.com yet? I got all but five, but the worst is that I can't figure out the first one:

Ah, the daisiest thing it was!

Where is that from? It's driving me crazy. My only clue is that it's from pre-1937 which is when the second answer is from.

No I haven't   Peter didn't mention my birthday in his column, so I am not taking his quiz.  So there!

Vibes to Larry!

And many many more.

I know all too well that moments of humiliation -- hell, even those of simple embarrassment -- never leave us.  All we can do is take heart in the fact that for the other parties involved, they are nothing.  Yes, somebody will remember that somebody else tossed his cookies.  That's not forgotten.  But once the actual situation has passed, for them that's all there is to it.  It's just a fact.  A beautiful thing.  It's a thing that happened.  We, the ones to whom that thing happened, live with it, never letting it go.  Which is probably completely unnecessary.  I imagine there are people who can grow out of that horrible moment and move on.  I am not one of them, and I'm presuming that DR Elmore isn't either.

The only other thing one can do is sort it out, put it in perspective, and leave it there.  An amazing trip, an amazing recording session, amazingly wonderful people...and one really shitty morning.  I know these are empty words right now, but unless the incident was photographed and will be written up by the other participants for inclusion in the album's liner notes, then it's over.  Not over for those of us prone to living our most horrible moments over and over and over again.  But ... over.

VIBES for some relaxing, refreshing and restorative days to come.

Thank you so much, DR ChasSmith!

I had planned to see my doctor next week, but she insisted that I come in today at 1:00. I've been there and I am back, my MRI is scheduled for next Friday at 9:30am, the laundry is finished, and now I can be a self-indulgent invalid.

If we had known, we could have chipped in and flown MBarnum out there to take care of you.

White shows off too many food stains.

 ;D

Especially BBQ.

That is not considered a stain in Texas.  That is a badge of honor.

I take it that ISN'T Zack. Is Zack still with you, Singdaw?

Zach is now 13 and grey in the muzzle and starting to slow down quite a bit, but he is still very much among the living!       :)

Now I'm confused.  Is Zach your husband?

Well, I think I have to take my DVR back to the cable company.  It keeps going on and off by itself.  I can't watch a show for more than a few minutes at a time.  It's a good reason to finally to watch the Lost Jack Benny shows on DVD.

Back from a three-mile jog, planking and thirty sit-ups.  So, right now I'm netting out at four to five hundred calories, so I'm thinking about a foot-long Subway club, which will put me up a little under 1200.

This Seattle radio station is running a contest where they give the word of the hour, and you then have to text the word to this certain number.  A great idea when the police are trying to crack down on people texting while driving.  Anyway...........

Today the disc jockey says, "This hour the word is shimmy."
 It is spelled: S-H-I-M-M-Y
The definition is:  "You shimmy up a rope."

Say what?

I love Russian accents. I'd love to have one.

You'd love Tatiana, one of the immediate supervisors in my area. Great accent.

When you really can't sleep, it starts reading you the poetry of dead white European males.

Emily Dickinson was a man?

Bulletin...................................Bulletin..............................Bulletin..............................

I am now eating a piece of cake.  White sheet cake.  White frosting.  And a simple pink rose.

I  thought that Laura and Jane might be interested.

Sounds much better than the pie I had with dessert tonight. I ordered key lime and got something nasty with banana and a bad chemical aftertaste. I cannot digest raw banana and I'll be belching it for the rest of the evening. TMI, I know.

Thank you, BK, for the wonderful birthday greetings this morning!  It's not everyone who can receive personal birthday greetings from a famed actor, director, author, composer, and CD producer; right there in said person's own daily blog. (Well, I guess everyone here can receive those greetings, but you know what I mean.)

A nice way to look at it.

Hello, Tom!

Nice to "see" you here, DR TCB!  Hope your day was a least a little bit special! How I would love to be there in person to take you out for a nice celebratory meal...

Thanks David.

Listening to the Sandy sequence for the sixth time - I got it right the first try and I'm thrilled.  What I do is play from the top, but I never remember what I put where, so it's new for me each time - it has a real flow, makes emotional sense, it's never predictable and always surprising.  Very happy in the City of Studio and I'm locking this order.

If more people liked me, we could make it to page 15.

I use one of those small "white noise" machines. And the phone in the bedroom NEVER has the ringer turned on!

I am completely in love with my white noise machine. IT is the best invention ever.

Well, that thought did cross my mind....     :)

There COULD only be one of TCB!

Thank you, Jeanne (I think).

I just browsed Amazon and there are white noise machines that offer options, such as nature sounds. Hmmm... One reviewer said that the wind sound scares the cats.

I thought about getting a machine with nature sounds. But I did a lot of research and am extremely happy with the machine i got (which is only white noise - 2 levels).

George, do you have a source--book, tape, etc--that you can go to for accent help?

Nothing specific.  I've seen Australian movies and have some cast recordings and I love "Wilfred."  I don't specifically study them, but I can pick them up after a while. :)

The library where I work has a bunch of tapes that I could've gotten, if I'd had more time.

We've had us a frenzy.  I had a piano tuning, then I did something I needed to do in regards to our anniversary show - that took a couple of hours and now I guess would be as good a time as any to go do a jog.

You went to Friday night Mass?

DR TCB - for your birthday I got you Tim McGraw. But on his way to your apartment, he got arrested...

Should I ask for a refund?

No, the cop could be a third.

Forgot to mention that everyone's favorite troublemaker was back today on the film score message board doing her usual thing.  And since it was instantly obvious that she still reads the notes and watches this board every minute of every day, I just thought I'd make her day as we all know she'll be reading this little post.  Hi, troublemaker.  Such a shame that your pathetic attempts to stir up trouble fall with such a thud because you can't even get the easiest of facts straight.  Oh, well.
