Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

I am glad DR BEN is not a driving a locomotive today.

Or DR Elmore's taxi!

That driver I had was fantastic today!  I couldn't have maneuvered all of that walking - which would have been a breeze if I were in good shape. He was patient with my crippled state, my juggling a book and a cane, and i gave him a great big tip to show my appreciation.  I wish all taxi drivers were as good as the ones I've been lucky to have since this affliction.

That is wonderful, DR Elmore. I recall like all the cab drivers that I had during my NYC trips...except the one Indian cab driver who stayed on his cell phone the entire time. I was wanting to chat with him.

DR Kate, I did not  get back to HHW last night in time to wish you a happy 30 years of wedded bliss! Congrats!

And it is wonderful to finally see a photo of you! You are so very pretty!

I am thinking of canceling my YMCA membership. The building does not have air conditioning and it gets so darn hot and humid there that I am a sweaty mess before I even start to work out! I found another, small sized 24 hour type gym close by, so will likely switch to them. It is very nice and it was very cool inside, and it is located beneath one of the parkades downtown.

I will miss not having the men's only sauna, hot tub, and steam room...but I was spending way too much time there, anyhow.

Got the old "Stay Out of the Showers" postcard, did we?

Well.  I had a ham and swiss and no fries or onion rings, I picked up a couple of packages, I did some banking, and I haven't been off the phone in two hours, mostly talking about various ideas for Sandy covers (some wonderful stuff to choose from - we'll have a final decision this week), uploading the Kritzerland videos to post in tomorrow's notes, and all that jazz.

I have succeeded in accomplishing a few things.  Including a trip to Target, where I spent too much money.  But I just went for a few things...

Is the other place also less expensive?  I find the Y a bit chilly in the winter and warm in the summer.  I think there is air though, just set low.  They do have fans for people to use but I hate them.

Do we really need a revival of a revival of Cabaret??

With the same co-directors and choreographer AND actor playing the Master of Ceremonies as the previous production??

No.

This is how bankrupt Broadway has become.  It's thoroughly nauseating.

I'm not saying that's the way to do things, just making a point.  I feel Cabaret has run its course.  It's just sad that the charm of the original is lost on people these days.  There's a reason why it worked so well when it did.
