DR ryacko - if you use the Firefox browser, there is a add-on that you can use to probably download the clip.

https://addons.mozilla.org/En-us/firefox/addon/download-youtube/

And aren't there still other standalone downloaders that would do the job?

Has anyone here ever made an olive sandwich?

Recipe:

Two slices of bread.

Mayonnaise

4-8 large pimiento-stuffed olives.

Spread mayonnaise on bread and set aside.  Using a sharp paring knife, cut olives in half, length-wise.  Place olive slices on one piece of the bread (mayo side up).  When bread is covered with olives, place the other slice of bread (mayo side down) on top.

Eat.   Serves One.

Preparation time:  5 minutes

I used to eat olive-nut sandwiches, which is olives and almonds in cream cheese, spread on bread.

It was my favorite when I was a kid. Now I occasionally make the spread and use it in celery.

Ralph's on Sunset!

Oh man, that was always a trip.  You'd have to stop in sometimes late at night even when you didn't need a damned thing, just to take in the sights.  That location's still there and thriving, isn't it?

Good morning, all!

Last night  got one of those lovely shocks when I signed onto my Facebook page to find myself tagged in a clip of Pamela Myers and I singing "Color and Light" from "Sunday in the Park with George", at an invited dress rehearsal for the 1986 L.A. Premiere. It had been posted by our wonderful director, Fran Soeder. It seems Fran had a little hand held camera in that monstrous cavern of a theater, and has had these things stashed away ever since. Never knew about that, only about an audio recording from someone's lap during the show. It looks like he is now transferring and making clips for postings of our show and others he directed out here.

It was amazing to see, and even though the quality isn't the best, it's something I'd love to have a copy of. I tried downloading it, but it wasn't possible. I'll have to ask him for a copy.  Talk about a blast from way in the past. But that show remains a highlight in my crazy career.

Happy Hump Day to everyone!

So, where can we see this? Is it on Youtube?

Tomato sandwiches!  Olive sandwiches!  My mother even taught me to make onion sandwiches.  These all sound so great right now.

Tomato sandwiches with dill and mayo on sour dough bread. Still one of life's simplest, greatest food joys.

I switched gyms a week back, but it was a mistake. The new gym not to my liking...too small, not enough machinery or selection of weights, and there is the annoyance of having to work around the zumba classes that are held right in the middle of the weight room! And the zumba teacher is the most annoying character I have ever come across...although he has a multitude of middle aged female fans who hang around and chat with him for an hour after...right in the middle of the weight room.

So, back to the YMCA...thankfully, they are letting me re-sign up, without charging me the sign up fee.

That sounds most irritating. Thankfully, the classes here are held in private rooms off from the main workout areas.

And I am home from physical therapy.

I'm very puzzled: Chrissy Whyte got her CD of DEAREST ENEMY this morning in Dublin but those on the comp list in New York haven't !

No, it looks like it was uploaded directly onto Facebook. No host site apparent anyway.

That was my take on it, too.

Hopefully, he'll get an extension.
