I just typed up the new pumpkin bread recipe I tried last week. In case anyone is interested.
PUMPKING BREAD
1 can pumpkin (15 or 16 oz)
1 3/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup vegetable oil (canola)
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 + teaspoon nutmeg (buy whole & grate)
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins

Heat oven to 350°
Use an oil with flour spray (Joy or Pam) and spray the pan
In a large bowl combine pumpkin, sugar, oil, vanilla and eggs: blend well. Stir in remaining ingredients except raisins. Mix until well blended Stir in raisins
Pour batter into prepped pan and bake until toothpick inserted come out clean
Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing from the pan & cool completely

The truth is, with my hurt back and just a lack of energy, my house was a pit. My back is feeling better so I'm trying to get as much done around here as possible.

I forgot to mention that DR Ben brought me the largest head of cauliflower I have ever seen. I had half of it for dinner.

And I'm a little nervous and excited about the prospect of change. I don't know for sure what it will be or if it will happen, but I'm ready to try. I'll just say I was approached by an out of town law firm I really respect about becoming some sort of local branch or something like that. We haven't figured out any details and who knows, it may not come to pass. But I'm excited and have some nervous energy....might as well put it to good use around the house.

Back from a three-mile jog. Had a long and hopefully not too awkward conversation with the NY person and it was good to talk things through and the person completely understood where I was coming from and that this might not be the best fit. But the person had already kind of made up their mind to do it and had bought the plane ticket - so, the person is pondering and reassessing and from this point on whatever happens is meant to happen.

It must be cauliflower season because we have a big beautiful one in our frig, maybe not as large as yours but still nice.

I still have a year on my lease, I wouldn't do it if I can't stay in my new office Bob doesn't officially start until the 21st.

It must be cauliflower season because we have a big beautiful one in our frig, maybe not as large as yours but still nice.

It was a huge cauliflower, bigger than a person's head, but the Greenmarket had even bigger ones than the one I bought. I took the smallest one on the table.

I'm glad Larry enjoys it.
