Well, you've read the notes, the notes had bullet points, and now it is time for you to post until the bullet point cows come home.

Thanks to dear readers George for adding Sandy's album to that website and to TCB's lovely comments about the album and my song.

Hello, fellow DRs. I'm back home, and also caught up on all the notes and postings.

The trip was a good one; the wedding went well, and it was good to see the DH and his family. Health issues presented a challenge, making the trip extremely uncomfortable, but everything seems to have resolved itself now. Thanks for all the travel vibes and good wishes!

It is nice to have the DD back home, as well. While I was away, he was camping out with Grandma.     :)

Good morning, all.

It's raining again. And I have to slog out into it for a blood test before heading to work.

I need to remember to take the garbage can out to the curb.

Try to top that!

Good morning.

It's windy and hot outside.  Would much rather have rain.  ;D

Good morning, all!  8:00 came far too early, since I slept pitifully. I slept nicely for an hour, then I woke up just past midnight,  and could not go back to sleep. I had some cereal, went back to bed, and then had a very restless night. I am now bathed, dressed, and on my first cup of coffee.

Jerome Moross' daughter Susanna will stop by shortly to visit and check on me before she heads back to Florida. I want to hear all about the event at Columbia, which was for Moross and orchestrator Sid Ramin, another wonderful writer.

I accomplished a bit of work on a couple of Moross projects yesterday, so I've made enough money to pay some bills, and that's really fantastic.

Good morning, all.

I actually had a decent sleep, making up for the interrupted one of the night before.  Today is my ME day for listening and working on music.  I don't have enough of those, and there's no reason (or even a lousy excuse) for it.  For now, of course...

Coffee!

Interesting to read of BK watching the STAR TREK movie.  I couldn't do it.  Not because I think any of the movies would necessarily be "bad", but I'm one of the few people in the U.S. of A. who was never a Trekkie, in any way, from the start.  I have probably never seen one episode of the show, from the first season to whatever they've got nowadays, all the way through.  Not one.  It never interested me.  I did see one of the movies, the one about the whales (?), when I accompanied two friends to see it at the Cinerama Dome on an idle Sunday afternoon in December 1986.  (Just looked it up:  that was Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.)

I have plenty of guilty pleasures that others would be horrified to hear about, so it's sometimes amusing to tell of my abysmally thorough ignorance when it comes to all things Trek.

DR ChasSmith, I too could give a hoot about STAR TREK. I've never understood the craze.

Wednesday morning greetings!  Yesterday was interesting, but exhausting, and I crashed shortly after I got home from my evening class.  Today's shopping trip with Mom is on hold until we see what the weather's doing in a couple of hours.  Looks like rain...

Richard and Rob bonded early over Star Trek and I went along for the ride.  Not something I'd watch voluntarily, but we had a lot of family fun together watching The Next Generation and Voyager series on TV.  One of my favorite memories is of Rob, about age 12, on stage at a Star Trek convention in Cincinnati winning an autographed photo of Gates McFadden for answering Star Trek trivia questions.  The keynoter for the event was George Takei.

DR John G:  Re: your comments last night about "Evil Under the Sun".  I'm not sure who has what regard, but I do believe the film far superior to the story -- and to the literal filming of it with David Suchet as Poirot (Jap, Hastings and Lemon are also in that episode).

The cast, the score, the dialogue and the location all make for a far more engaging adaptation than the actual book

IMO, natcherly.

I watched the original Star Trek once in awhile when I was a little kid. It was never intentional, as far as know, but just if I happened to switch from channel to channel and it was playing.

Have never watched any of the later Trek series, but have seen a few of the movies. One of them I enjoyed, but do not recall the title.

1931 - Hollywood, California:  Looking north up Vine towards the corner of Hollywood and Vine, before the Dyas department store sign was changed to The Broadway Hollywood and while the Hollywood sign was still the Hollywoodland sign.  (This was posted on Facebook on the Masquers Club page).
