DR Jane, what Samsung smartphone did Keith just get? I have a new Galaxy Note 3. It's big (a 5.7" screen), and I am really loving it!

Size counts?

So sorry to hear about your accident, Cillaliz. I hope it's not bad.

Thanks for the introduction, Larry!

Hello, everyone! My name is Jackson. I'm a 19-year-old Boston University sophomore, originally hailing from Orlando. I love tune-filled musicals and well-written sitcoms. My current major is Film/TV with an emphasis on  the latter. (That was indeed a DAMN YANKEES reference.)

Larry told me this was the place to be, and I look forward to joining your discussions!

Jackson

*Except, perhaps, a nice loud musical comedy overture.

Welcome, Jackson!

I think I'm going to be fine.  I am icing my neck and shoulder (the other shoulder from last year) but I really don't think it's going to be bad.  I feel bad for my car, but it's drivable and fixable.  The guy in the middle car really looked like he was hurting.   He left in an ambulance. The other two cars weren't drivable, so I'm really lucky

It was walking right in the middle of the road that went to the lake. We waved down traffic and had them go around us. They were glad to, when they saw it.

DR Jackson, I think you will fit right in very nicely! However, if DR MBarnum asks you if you go to a gym or work out, run for your life!

Our resident Lucille Ball fanatic is JRand63, and I'm sure you and he will have much to discuss. I think we are quite a wonderful group of psychological studies in dementia and obsession. BK runs the loony bin and hosts the continuous party that is HHW!

elmore, I hope you warned DR upperco that we were all in our twenties and thirties.  Except for you who lived thru the Twenties and Thirties?

ASK BK

I see Criterion is releasing It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World. They will be releasing the General Release version and 197 minute version

"New high-definition digital transfer of a 197-minute extended version of the film, reconstructed and restored by Robert A. Harris using visual and audio material from the longer original road-show version—including some scenes that have been returned to the film here for the first time—with 5.1 surround Master Audio soundtrack on the Blu-ray"

Do you know if this is a "new version" or the same version that was released with footage that was never meant to be part of the film.

I love that movie!  I'll have to get this!

So, I'm driving home from band, minding my own business, sitting behind several cars waiting for the red light to change when I hear "screech...Bang...." and then they hit me. Sheesh! I was lucky the poor car in the middle took the brunt of the accident. My poor car has a broken back bumper and I'm not sure if the back door or spare tire was hurt, but it's not too bad. I'm a little sore and am hoping that it's not whiplash....I'll know in the am.

Oh, no!  At least you weren't doing the hitting.

Well, I should probably leave work now.  I think I'm turning into Vixmom in that respect. ;)

Today is the cut-off to pay all the invoices for this month and there have been some issues that will need to be resolved tomorrow.  Nothing major, but I MUST leave work by 5:15 at the latest so that I can get to the theater.  The show must go on!

Until later!

Welcome, DR upperco. As you might be able to tell from my quote below, I'm a Porter fanatic, too. (And a gin fan.) What's your favorite Porter tune?

Thank God!  I thought you were going to ask upperco what is his favorite mixed drink.

I think Cilla needs a new car  to discourage people from constantly crashing into her... something like this
